Wimbledon 2019 Final: Novak Djokovic [1] vs Roger Federer [2]

Nothing like psychoanalytic commentary from armchair experts after the fact.

2018 USO Womens Final : ThisMama Serena Williams vs Japanese Queen Naomi Osaka

It is high time the grand slams, ATP, WTA, and ITF got together and ensure some much-needed consistency in tennis officiating: Consistency between umpires, matches & tournaments on how coaching violations, racket violations and game violations are called. There is so much variation between how...

2018 WTA French Open: Serena Williams v. Maria Sharapova

“Serena Williams has marked the heights and the limits of my career — our stories are intertwined,” Sharapova writes. Serena has an inextricable part in Sharapova's tennis story. Not the other way around. When was the last good match between them? Less drama and better tennis this time...

    2017 Monte Carlo SF: [4] R. Nadal vs. [10] D. Goffin

Another match, another controversy. Speaks for a poorly run tournament. The fans of the sport should make their displeasure known with their pocketbook, the only language that tournaments understand.

Djokovic (1) vs Wawrinka (3) - 2016 US Open final

Djokovic didn't just lose a match. This will be a major blemish in his career. Stanimal goes up several notches.

Djokovic (1) vs Wawrinka (3) - 2016 US Open final

Wow, he was barely able to walk, now he is running side to side, fast. LOL. This guy deserves an Oscar alright.

Djokovic (1) vs Wawrinka (3) - 2016 US Open final

Win or lose, for many tennis fans this match has revived memories of the old ND and his bag of tricks trying to win it any way he can.

Djokovic (1) vs Wawrinka (3) - 2016 US Open final

There is no point blaming the skeptics. People are skeptical because of some of the things ND did in the past.

A great match so far despite the inconsistent officiating.

Djokovic (1) vs Wawrinka (3) - 2016 US Open final

ND taking too much time between points. Time for a warning from the chair umpire.

US Open 2015 Final: Djokovic (1) vs Federer (2)

Impressed with how ND dealt calmly with the obnoxious NY crowd. Good win, perhaps ugly win. He didn't play great, but was solid on BPs and that won him the match. Flat start by RF, poor BP conversion, too nervy / aggressive at times. On the positive side, he was not that far off -- may be a...

Has your opinion of Fed changed after today ?

I was just wondering if you ever get tired of the inanity you post. If not, it must be wonderful to be able to do that every few minutes.

Terrific match. Quality did not dip from start to finish, despite both teams being aggressive. Congratulations to Pospisil and Sock.

Wimbledon 2014 Womens Final: [6] Kvitova vs [13] Bouchard

This drubbing was maybe deserved. In the court side and post match interviews after the SF, I had a feeling that Bouchard was a bit too smug: No consideration for the injuries of Halep and talking down the next opponent a past Wimbledon winner. As good a talent as she is, this beat down is...

Wimbledon 2014 Womens Final: [6] Kvitova vs [13] Bouchard

One of the most dominant wins in a Wimbledon final. Kvitova truly deserves all the accolades that come her way after this match. Wow.

    Wimbledon 2014 SF : Dimitrov [11] vs Djokovic [1]

    Nadal-Kyrgios 2014 Wimbledon 4th round

Nadal routinely plays slow, takes breaks quite often when he is down, does not play to the server's pace. The rules apparently do not apply to him. Shame on the ATP and the tournaments, esp. the slams, for not making him play by the rules. Of course, if you call him out, you are Nadal hater...

Wimbledon 2014 R32: Mikhail Kukushkin vs Rafael Nadal [2]

Just saw your post. There was never any doubt in the outcome of the match. I find it curious that you did not mention anything about Nadal taking a bath room break after losing that first set. Calling out Nadal's dirty tactics like this one or his routine slow play does not equate to hating...

Wimbledon - The Championships - 2014 - General Discussion Thread

More idle chit chat calling for a shot clock to enforce time between points. The shot clock revived the NBA when it was introduced 60 years back. A similar effect is expected in tennis. Of course, nothing will get done as it will impact the current crop of slow top ranked players.

Wimbledon 2014 R32: Mikhail Kukushkin vs Rafael Nadal [2]

I have little doubt that Nadal will go on to win this match. But this sort of dirty tactics is the reason many old timers have never really warmed up to Nadal, despite him winning almost everything. Play the game the way it was intended, win or lose.
