I just want to hit nasty backhand slices

Gravity Pro 2023 was laser-like for me - instant upgrade to any blocking/slicing.

Revisiting the Head Liquidmetal Radical MP

LM Rad MP is a good frame begging for lead but IMO Blade V8 is very similar type of racket but more solid and plush.

    Best string for Percept 100D?

    My proportional stringing details: K-Pro/K-Pop - 17g - electric constant pull machine. MAINS: 59,59,58,57,57,56,55,54 CROSS: 48, 53, 55, 56, 57, 58,58,58,58,58,58, 57.5, 57, 56.5, 56, 55.5, 55, 54.5, 54, 54. Plays amazing right off the stringer IMO.

    Best string for Percept 100D?

MUCH more thump on my 100D from a few grams of lead at 3+9+12 Imo this is not a frame for low tension or sub 17g strings. Put the lead on, you’ll get all the lift you want but also control to block and drive flat.

Prestige Mid to become the racquet of the 2020s.

I take it out once a while - it's a beauty. But I feel Gravity Pro 23 setup right is similar in what it brings to the table but more forgiving, esp at net.

    Yonex Percept 100D

100D has firmer loop, more pop, power and stability.

Really didn’t like it in GPro. Yes it’s big spin and comfort, but precision and touch goes out the window.

New string job has the racquet weighing 2.5g less than before.

I know what you do to your frames. Let it fly lol. (Unless you really loved it and who are we to judge)

Struggling to dial in the pure aero 98

Hyper G is soft, lots of spin, but very vague on control and flat shots. Alcaraz plays RPM Team 1.30 at 55lb, should be pretty good to drive the ball.

IMO Gravity Pro needs to be over 345g. Without it the magic is just not there and it’s just another decent frame.

Too much in my head. Need help settling on a racquet.

Since you like Yonex. Precept 100D would probably fit you game better than V98 because it will let you flatten out without fear. With a few grams of lead you can get great comfort and huge spin too.

    Suggestions for Racquet Switch

Blade 98 (V8 for softer feel or V9 for more firm) or Gravity Pro will probably feel best for you since you like to flatten out

    Yonex Percept 100D

Well looks like Karue is still rocking the 100D....to his all time high rankings. (y) 12.5oz Gravity Pro has been my main since early 2023 and it's been great, but now I'm feeling like I'm working too hard and want a faster lag timing. Demoing Blade 98 V8 (nice feel/stability per weight) and...

    Best string for Percept 100D?

Trying out Karue's setup with K-Pro at 58lb with a ~2 grams total at 3+9+12...WOW combination of spin and control is kinda crazy. 3 hours of hitting for now, will see if it gets too loose.

Got around to recording some hitting with my GPro23 (strung with K-Pro @ 50). Had a good match too, too bad phone cut out by third hour and lost footage.

How to get maximum power from 18x20 racquet?

“Too heavy AND lacks power” usually means you are using the wrong type of racket for how you are trying to play. Adding lead to the hoop will increase power and swingweight, which would probably make a racket you say is too heavy even more so. On strings: 95” 18x20 should be strung in low 40’s...

Why is everyone using such light racquets? Can we really not handle it?

In what way? Prob with Gravity Pro is wild spec differences, but at 335-340SW 8 points headlight it’s a beast.

Still searching for THE racquet. :(

Simple - Gravity Pro 2023. Total comfort. Firm upper loop with good power potential with added weight (if under spec). String-bed is very controlled. K-pro plays great at 48

Moving from 95" Players frame to 98"......

Yes! Skip the 98s straight to Gravity Pro 2023. It’s 100” of stability and forgiveness but as precise feeling as any 95.

    2023 Yonex VCores

K-pop is awesome…didn’t try it in V95 though. Don’t expect the Hyper G level of spin - it’s very much a control setup.

    Head Gravity Pro club!

Been loving K-Pro hybrid in my GPro23 - right gauge, good feel/touch, very consistent response and depth control aggressive ball drivers will appreciate. Hyper G was more spin and may suit more western loop players…but feel/control went out the window and if you are playing this style GPro is...

Anything better than a Gravity Pro? Dunlop CX400 Tour or Yonex Percept 100D perhaps ?

GPro is super easy to volley with - point and shoot. Off center is super forgiving and it makes punching deep or carving a short dropper easy. All court is its middle name.

    Similar rackets to Gravity Pro?

Solinco Whiteout 18x20 is sorta similar but has a lot more POP at 66 stiffness. Blade 98 V9 is also firmer, though has a more muted feel compared to Whiteout. Both will prob need some lead to get up to GPro weight.

Demo: 2023 GPro CX400 Tour Precept 100D Aka YouTuber delight package. Nobody is going to answer for you better. For me it’s 2023 GPro at 12.5oz. Don’t need anything else, haven’t tried anything in a year.

Never seen a power clean at the gym and thought - oh man, this guy must have a blazing forehand. :-D Yes it helps, but there is a lot more that goes into producing a good stroke. Bottom line, if you drive the ball GPro has a good mix of power, stability and control to consistently hit a...
