The real reason why Medvedev won, and why Djoko looked like that

How can Djokovic respond next time they play to all this you listed?

Tennys Sandgren defaulted after taking a shot to the balls by a ball kid

Well John McEnroe stated they should be able to review it soon after at least to determine if it's blatantly unintentional and no one got hurt (some degree of discretion). So I'm not the only one who thinks there's room for flexibility to the rule to prevent "overkill".

Tennys Sandgren defaulted after taking a shot to the balls by a ball kid

This is insane. The rule is overkill and needs to soften to some warning or lesser. Stupid

    Average height of top10

187-190 or 6'2 - 6'3 looks like optimal tennis height for men today. I wonder if it's going to be 6-4+ in 10 years. When does it stop? I'm 1.83, past the golden age of 6ft dominance.

measuring in feet is the only thing that makes sense because one's foot can be used to measure things without a measuring tape. all these are jokes

    Average height of top10

As ridiculously outdated as it sounds, one can easily measure things literally just using his feet, if has no measuring tape. I do this as my size is roughly 12 inches. Have to know both here, but on the other hand, Americans only have to know one universal language at least lol

Did the British media created the Big-4, or did it actually exist?

Why don't they play more grass tournaments to match the pinnacle of tennis surface?

    Jack Kramer National Tennis Center

Why isn't the National Tennis Center named after Jack Kramer who was the leading advocate for professional tennis and a champion player, paving the way for Billie Jean King? Was he even considered? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_Kramer

Did the British media created the Big-4, or did it actually exist?

Because he won 3 slams in 3 different venues. Murray only 2 and on the outdated grass surface twice.

Did the British media created the Big-4, or did it actually exist?

It was invented. IF it did exist it was Wawrinka as the 4th big.

U.S Open - Round of 16: Harris vs Opelka

I picked Harris after watching a few games in the first set, seeing how much less resistance Opelka gave with Harris serving.

If there was just one as talented as any of the Big 3

Very good points. Future changes are unpredictable and this estimate assumes homogenization.

If there was just one as talented as any of the Big 3

Settle down lol A 15 year period with 2- 3 slams per year comes out to about 38 (far from 100) and the motivation (lacking competitive Bigs playing with them at same time) would be surpassing the Big 3 as much as possible.

    Generation: Desperation

Well we can see Grandpa Federer has reached a limit in his Slam count, so we can expect the other 2 to continue to dominate for another 3-4 years before they hit the wall. 2024 the Lost Generation should start winnning regularly.

If there was just one as talented as any of the Big 3

Consider today the Big 3 cancel out (or have for most of their careers) each other's total slams, but imagine in the future there is just one as talented, he should dominate and accumulate 40 slams+ over a 15-20 year period and surpass any of these with a "weaker era" situation. Agree?

Just how high was the level of tennis in the Laver/Rosewall era?

Hilarious commentary :-D:-D:-D. The only way to compare is by the numbers, not by visually looking at how they played with those rules and technology. And in that regard Rosewall is GOAT, beating any of the Big 3 today.

Absolutely a first from the usual hardest draw he gets.

What was the betting line, anyone know?

Before you were a fan of one of "the Big 3," what one player were you a big fan of?

Roddick got me interested in tennis actually. I now think Sampras would have been earlier if I followed then.

    Federer ain’t done yet

yeah I keep hearing about him not being done, of course, he can compete on the tour, as a #10 player going to QF maybe tops.
  26. jussumman

I'm still in a state of shock

Agreed. I think it's time to face reality - a QF actually surpassed my expectation for him (he was very lucky to get past the 1st round). This is maybe his ceiling now, as he's chosen to keep playing.
