Do you think this was really a foot fault?

Booooooo! Do notice: This guy has small mannerisms of adjusting the left foot 2 to 3 times before serving... That could mean he is very attentive to his foot position... And his left foot did not move forward during the service motion... Nor did his right foot cross the line... Most...

Can't decide what serve to use.. Little time left..

Clay... Hmmmm, do you slide well? For me it's actually better to s&v on clay coz I move better on it, slide much... Don't serve too hard, this will give you more time to charge... Twist serve to the backhand and charge... Good Luck...

    Strings do not go dead...

I experienced this: My crosses(multi) snapped and my mains(poly) were intact. My ballboy removed the cross strings only, leaving the mains which was very loose(like wet noodle)... So, I forgot about that racquet(it was not my main racquet) and left the mains there for 2 weeks or so... went on...

Can't decide what serve to use.. Little time left..

Sir, you should not be deciding, you should be practicing... You barely have a first serve and you're joining a try-out in 11 days? How good is your competition? Good luck anyway...

How to tell if grip is too small / big?

Here's some tips: 1. it feels pretty loose when gripped lightly during serves. 2. it doesn't twist too much in your hand when holding tightly during volleys. 3. it is comfy enough to whip on forehands. 4. you don't feel pain in hand/wrist after 1 hour hitting. and as you described, holding SW...

Over or under when starting crosses

And never pause for anything until a weave is complete and thru the hole... And for the last cross, try to weave one at a time, saves you some pain, and is actually faster... Peace

    High Forehands

Try using a 'more forward' motion than your regular groundstroke... The higher the ball the lesser pace it has left... so you're better off muscling the ball forward than using more topspin... My opinion...:)

    Extent of racket drop

I don't even believe one should be conscious with the 'racquet drop'... just get to the trophy position (no matter how you start it, no matter what stance)... the 'racquet drop' will happen!!! as you push forward and up with your legs... as your body recoils powerfully towards the ball... the...

Microgel Prestige Mid Review. (Photos included)

The iPM in my own words... "flexes nicely on groundies, yet somehow stiffens up for serves(which i particularly love), maybe it just flexes at the right parts of the racquet..." Unfortunately, MGPM cost a fortune ~$300 over here, no demos too...

    Training with a heavier racquet?

I would suggest some upper body strength training/toning, but still use your regular racquet for practice... Makes you stronger and faster while keeping the timing... Peace

There's no logical reason NOT to use kevlar/synthetic gut

You need to change your sig...

    Thinking of Using Kevlar...

Oh well, I thought you have to at least feel good hitting the tennis balls to really enjoy the game...:???: Kevlar/syn hybrids aren't really as 'stiff' feeling as full polys... Better pocketing I think relieves any feeling of stiffness for Kev/syn hybrids... But that's just me... No worries...

    Thinking of Using Kevlar...

I don't understand this... Your joking right? Poly is too soft??? Maybe your stringer is doing something wrong... Maybe your tension's too high... Whatever... BTW, I believe a kevlar/syn hybrid will last longer than full kevlar or kevlar/poly... the softness of the syn cross preserves the...

Hybrid with VS Gut for: #1--Comfort and #2--Lower Cost??

To the OP... Based on experience, the main string will dominate the 'stringbed feel'... i.e. using softflex on the mains with poly crosses will create a 'little stiffer softflex' which i really like... Poly mains with multi crosses still feels like poly, yet softer...

    The J011yroger guide to strings.

Thanks man... So here's what I'm gonna do: String 1 raq now... String raq2 3weeks after(with my better/preferred tension)... Use raq2 after another week(after 1month using raq1)... and delegate raq1 as a back-up... I can then restring raq1 on the third week of raq2's use... and so on... I...

J, I have 2 raqs, I'm stringing them with BBO... I'm planning to or will play with the BBO for a month or until it breaks... Should I string them together now?
