Frustrating opponent to play against IMO. One kid I play with intentionally hits the ball as hard as he can at the top of the net to get it to drop. Makes it maybe 3 or 4 times a set. I try to tell him that's not a good way to play, but he doesn't listen haha

Personally love that string. Never had any issues with the string facing one direction. The response always seemed to be consistent for me.

I've got CoF in mine now. Great spin potential but tension loss was faster than I would have liked. Still great spin tho. Tough Gut/Mosquito Bite will be the next experiment I believe.

I've never popped a set of Firewire honestly. With the triangle shape, the flat on flat surface seems to keep the string from sawing itself. The playability last much longer than many of the polys out there as well IMO.

Have you tried OGSM in the mains and Silverstring in the crosses? I'm not too familiar with synthetic in the mains, I've always played with poly there. I feel like the durability would be less with the gut sawing on the poly, but I'm just interested in the comparison of the reverse setup.

Honestly, if you can't tell much of a difference in the string, besides durability, just get whatever is cheapest. A good durable synthetic gut should be all you need.

MSV Co Focus is very tough to beat in my opinion. One of my favorite polys and great price at $7.90 a set on TW. Could easily be a $5 string job hybrided with Synthetic. Available in 16 and 17 gauge as well.

Yup. Don't believe in the "graphene" idea, but there is more mass in the head to give some additional pop.

Personally, not crazy about the Speeds. The Instinct tho, is a very solid frame in my opinion.
