Djokovic will have a worse year than last year. No slams.

If he runs into a scenario where Sinner/Alcaraz play each other in a semi and wear themselves out at AO/RG he may sneak 1 slam. But at USO or WB no chance (Carlos is too good on grass, and USO is ripe for upsets)

Okay, this Tiafoe fiasco, what do we make of it?

Classless from Tiafoe with a fake PR apology after. Hopefully he gets a fine to set a precedent but won't be surprised if nothing happens

Taylor Fritz...US Open finalist...the world has ended...

It'll be remembered as an Olympic year where players were gassed but still he beat former finalists Ruud and Zverev plus Tiafoe on his way there. Certainly better than if Frances made it to the final

US Open 2024 Semifinals matchup - [12] Taylor Harry Fritz (USA) v/s [20] Frances Tiafoe Jr. (USA)

Thank god Fritz won! He could've easily folded after set 3, but kept his composure and won the last 2 sets. Thankfully no more of this Tiafoe/Ashe circus

    2024 US Open Men’s Singles

Consistent at what? He was almost ranked outside the top 30 after Wimby and then made up some points in these US events Players "ranked below Rublev" like Tsitsipas and Ruud have both made it to major finals on two different surfaces, something Tiafoe's never done

    2024 US Open Men’s Singles

Tiafoe can only play good at USO with the crowd roaring him on. Besides a fluky run to a QF in AO 2019, he hasn't done anything noteworthy at the other 3 majors. Expect his ranking to drop in the first-second quarter of next year until the US swing comes around

First Djokovic, now Gauff with 16 DFs. Horrible level of play

US Open R32: Ben Shelton vs. Frances Tiafoe

Shelton let this one slip Some obvious gamesmanship from Tiafoe by toweling off after seemingly every point during his serve and receiving coaching

    2024 US Open Men’s Singles

Horrible play from Carlos, stop trying to please the crowd and buckle down

    2024 US Open Men’s Singles

Surprising choice, especially considering Novak's put on two stinkers at night

    NBC Done With The French

Not a huge loss considering they'd only air the RG matches on NBC 2-3 times a week (not including the finals) and then on weekends you'd have to subscribe to Peacock to watch the end of the match

    Best Female Commentator?

    Davenport and Mary Jo Fernandez

John McEnroe won't be part of ESPN AO crew

ESPN really doesn't care about the AO it seems First by having the crew stay at home to commentate, not having J-Mac who will be missed when it's a big match or the final. Not to mention broadcasting half the matches on ESPN+ where you have to pay

    When should Venus retire?

She's looked bad for quite some time now. At least Serena was still making semi-finals during her last few active years (2020-2021) Venus hasn't gone to a final since WB 2017 where she lost handily to Mugu

ESPN won't be sending its play-by-play and color commentators to Melbourne next month, instead calling matches from studios in Bristol, CT

Kind of a lazy move. When they're actually there in person they will talk less, while being in a studio they tend to talk while points are being played

What years are the final years on tour for Djokovic and Nadal?

Djokovic - 2025. Will be 38, you gotta think his speed/reflexes will slow down by then Nadal - 2024. Remains to be seen how he'll recover from this ab tear, but I can see next year being his last if he doesn't win RG

How would Djokovic have done this USO ?

He would have gone to the finals given that he'd have Ruud's path

    USO’22 SF: #3 C Alcaraz (ESP) vs #22 F TIAFOE (USA)

Will the crowd lift Frances to the final like they did with Leylah Fernandez last year?

    USO’22 SF: #3 C Alcaraz (ESP) vs #22 F TIAFOE (USA)

Dumb crowd cheering too early thinking Foe had the point LOL

Alcaraz needs to punish that second serve

2022 US Open R4: Rafael Nadal Parera [2] vs Frances Tiafoe Jr. [22]

Sad way to end the year for Rafa The warning signs were there: from the Coric loss at Cincy to the first set struggles against Rinky, and Fognini. The ab tear really compromised his serve, credit to Frances though for not dropping his level which I expected him to do

2022 US Open 3R: [2] Rafael Nadal vs Richard Gasquet

Was US Open 2019 a big missed opportunity for Federer?

Fed blew it at both USO18 and USO19 (7-1 h2h vs Dimitrov and 3-1 h2h vs Millman). The 18 match was played in extremely hot conditions, and in 19 I think his back flared up during the match, it's a missed opportunity since it could have set up a QF vs Novak and SF vs Med, respectively

2022 Roland Garros QF: [3] Alexander Zverev vs Carlos Alcaraz [6]

Picked and was rooting for Zverev to win. Glad he got his first Top 10 win at a Slam, and to do it against a surging Alcaraz, no less, was very impressive
