I have a couple Pro Staff Six.One 100 v13 rackets I was about to put up for sale, until I put a little lead tape at 12 o'clock. Wow. I cannot say enough about how this changed everything. The feel is there, the power is there, the control is there.
I tried a leather grip, which didn't help me...
Specifically, I’m interested in the tours/Roddick weight & balance class, unless there’s any reason to take a regular one and weight it to those specs.
I'm wondering, what year of the Pure Drive Tour / Roddick is the "best". Any opinions???
I have a couple of the Pure Drive Roddick GT (2009?) that haven't been out of my bag in a while, and I find myself really miss that feeling of just cracking the ball off both sides with it. The launch...
Just wondering, if someone were to paint a tennis racket without completely sanding off the original paint (simple overcoat), how much weight would this add to the racket? And what about paint and then a glossy overcoat? Also, would the handle need some weight to compensate for the added paint...
I think both rackets work well with a soft textured poly, but I stick around 55. I've found that the PSC and PDR are two of the easier rackets to switch between. The added power and bigger sweet spot in the PDR mimics the added plow-through from the PSC a little, and the launch angle is...
2009 Pure Drive GT?
Here's the Roddick (Tour):

String recommendations for this racket? And what are you using in it?
I have Black Code 17 in mine at 52lbs in it and love everything except the launch angle on my forehand and sometimes how it can sail on that side. TW review recommends ALU Power (16L?), so I was going try that or Tour Bite...
thanks guys, but i'm more wondering what the result is from a playing standpoint when adding lead to various areas... with respect to plowthrough, stability, static headspeed and momentum through the shot, how it feels on pronation, effect on serve vs groundstroke...
I've been leading rackets for years, but always just a little at 3 and 9 on the head. Recently, I've started giving it more thought, and get that lead at 12 o'clock on the head is more polarizing and less stabilizing than lead at 3 and 9, but what about the handle?
How do you decide if you...
I did the research and decided to just go with the Babolat SkinFeel just because it was an easy find. It really reduces the size a lot... possibly a full size easily.
is there a difference in pitch for the same tension if the rackets have different head sizes?
i.e. would a 100sq in head at 60lbs sound lower than a 95sq in head strung at 60?
I used to have that one, but switched to the newer version long ago. It's listed here http://web.archive.org/web/20021109185602/www.tennis-warehouse.com/descpage.html?pcode=SBPH
Also, I'm still up in the air about the whole Slazenger Trinity Pro Braided vs. PDRGT. Power is actually...
Hmm, I need a bigger bag (6 rackets) and am between a Babolat 9 or the duffle style one. The 9 has no shoe compartment... where do people put shoes, or is the consensus to just buy a 12 pack bag?
How many of you use a duffle style tennis bag? and is there a reason NOT to use one?

I finally need a bigger bag...
