    Dimitrov new racquet 18x17?

What's the final verdit on the headsize?

Why wasn't Sampras more consistent throughout entire season?

Actually, the 95 Davis Cup final on clay was single handily won by Sampras -- Both singles and the doubles match. Courier lost both of his rubbers. Agassi was not featured in the final -- it was Courier, Martin, and Sampras.

    Agassi with Donnay?!?!?

It's weird seeing Agassi and Sampras not being sponsored by the rackets (or at least the racket companies) that they were associated with throughout their careers.

WOAH - Wimbledon confirms moving the tournament back one week!!!

The only anomaly would be Newport. What should become of it?

WOAH - Wimbledon confirms moving the tournament back one week!!!

Tennis organizational structure is power based and clout rules. Germany has lost most of it's influence. Currently Queens' offers a larger draw of 56, while Halle offers a draw size of 28 players. Queens' offers the bigger show.

WOAH - Wimbledon confirms moving the tournament back one week!!!

I don't think that they have to change any of the current Masters' from clay/hard to grass. They may designate a 10th Masters' as non-mandatory in the same manner as Monte Carlo with draw size, full points and prize money. Week 1: Eastbourne 500 (32S/32Q/16D) / Halle 500 (32S/32Q/16D) Week...

WOAH - Wimbledon confirms moving the tournament back one week!!!

Now, hopefully Roland Garros can start a week earlier. 4 weeks of grass court tennis will be nice.

The guys of old versus slow courts:

Sampras actually preferred slower courts; he felt it gave more time to set up and track down balls. I'm not sure how much slower he wanted them, but he wasn't keen on how fast the US Open became with the new Arthur Ashe Stadium -- kind of makes sense as he didn't make it back to the finals...

Besides the PS 85, what other discontinued sticks?

Wilson K Pro Staff 88 please.
  15. L

Which retail Wilson Tour 90 is closest to FEDERER's actual racquet?

How does the "pro mold" compare to the KPS88? Could the KPS88 have a closer feel to the "pro mold" than retail tour-90s?

    I agree. And online play.

EA Sports announces Grand Slam 2 for PS3 and XBox 360!

Smash Court 3 leans towards Virtual Tennis. Though, if SC3 was on PS3, I would get it; it looks much better than the other games out. It has spot on pro animations and swing styles, and it has real Pro AI.

I originally played it on PS2, but I've been playing it on PS3 for years now. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zZFW17VxFbI&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PMPf6JDEjo0 Background music can always be turned off.

EA Sports announces Grand Slam 2 for PS3 and XBox 360!

Yeah, the graphics I thought were descent. At least, Smash Court had spot on stroke animations like serves and backhand slice. I too would like a re-released game with online play, split screen for multi-player matches, importing created players into career mode, and licensed products. No...

EA Sports announces Grand Slam 2 for PS3 and XBox 360!

Rear view - low angle was my choice for Smash 2. I'm amazed to see the backward progression of tennis games. For tennis games, I believe minimalism is the key -- have accurate animations and the right game speed then everything will take care of itself. Tennis is about strategy not the...

EA Sports announces Grand Slam 2 for PS3 and XBox 360!

Just revisited Smash Court 2 to compare and contrast; in truth I still prefer Smash Court 2 -- it just feels like tennis. Oh, it actually has a backhand slice animation which Grand Slam does not.

EA Sports announces Grand Slam 2 for PS3 and XBox 360!

The pace on Smash Court 2 was perfect. One could rally from the baseline, serve and volley, and play all court. It was perfectly balanced. Career mode was deep as well with all 4 majors, 1 YEC, 9 masters, 500, 250, and challenger events. They even had a Davis Cup tourney. Even the ranking...

EA Sports announces Grand Slam 2 for PS3 and XBox 360!

It looks we're still waiting for a HD version of Smash Court Tennis 2 with updated roster, licensed products and online feature. At least Namco was able to get accurate player animations. It strikes me as odd how far off the mark player animations are given the resources of EA and 2K.

    Tennis playing-style spectrum

Nice approach with the spectrum; it gives the discussion an added dimension. 1-----------------------------5----------------------------10 Serve-Volleyer------------All-courter----------------------Baseliner 1. McEnroe 2. Edberg 3. Laver 4. Becker 5. Sampras 6. Connors 7. Federer, Borg...

    A fresh look at Pete

Accurate conclusion. That is what he was described as up until 1999. His style changed with the 2000 season.
