    Wilson Triniti Tennis Ball

Any updates to these balls? A friend wants to play doubles with them tomorrow but worried as I’m currently suffering a bit of tennis elbow. Thanks for any input

Opponent needs to pick up every ball

Oh, forgot to mention… I am definitely used to raising my racket to said fast servers… some will still use the “Servers Pace” rule but almost run to the other side and immediately serve lol. What if I want to have a quick tactical chat with my partner, especially in league matches. Most people...

Opponent needs to pick up every ball

Good point Schmidt, I know some people who is the “fast serve” as a cheap way to gain an advantage. It’s not like I take a long time to get ready. Funny enough I thought about it while watching the Indian Wells tourney this year when the players “towel off” it’s not like the server can serve...

Opponent needs to pick up every ball

Hi All, Was playing doubles today and the server hit the first ball into the net (rolled back four plus feet away from the net) and his partner was walking over to pick it up. At the same time the server did a drop shot… I saw his partner moving to pick up the ball so I didn’t even attempt to...

    Newbie Stringer: String pattern?

I’m not a stringer, what is “dry stringing”? I’m interested in learning how to one day though, spend enough $$$ on it

    Newbie Stringer: String pattern?

Hi All, Bumping an older thread. I have had a Wilson Blade 98S European version (V8) that I love. I just brought a second new one into the stringers who are well known locally. My question being, how long would/should it take for a round gromett to become oval or have some form of damage? Is...

How would you feel if they made players wear a jersey with their name on the back?

This is my teams third year and I think having our logo on the front (which we already have) as well as adding our last name on the back like the World Team Tennis jerseys would be fun “The Stanley Park Eagles” There are a lot of eagles around the courts we play on.

Pros and Cons of Donnay Pro One

Reviving an old thread. Yes, there were some batches with major vibrations/flaws (18x20). I experienced this and sent a video to the sales manager and received a new stick in return right away (without having to send the old one in with vibrations btw) the other flaw was the short grommets to...

Best sunglasses to block out sun and give best vision focus

Yes, I have read that polarized is not good for depth perception. What I’m really trying to understand is the UV blockers that they offer…. Good for tennis/bad? Etc…

Best sunglasses to block out sun and give best vision focus

Hi All, Bumping an older thread… about to order a new pair of Oakley Flack’s 2.0. Question is what about UV Blue Violet coating? Will it impair or enhance the vision/depth perception of the ball? I always wear a hat, it’s only when the Sun is in the toss/lob zone that I get blinded. Thanks so...

If the US Open is any indication of the future Tennis won't survive

I'm going to go with some great games and some great upcoming players. I would also agree that we are still in a transition phase per se ;-)

Play to the server’s pace: Yes, but...

Bumping this as I recently ran into a "Fast Server" in a tournament... served or was in the motion of serving when I was turning around. I used the hand up tactic a few times while turning around but was given the good old response of "You have to play at the servers pace" (This rolled off his...

Any other racquet I should waste my money on in the hope that it’s the one?

BTW This brace saved my arm. It covers both the inside & outside of the arm: https://www.physiotherapyroom.com/Band-IT-Elbow-Brace?gclid=CjwKCAjwj8eJBhA5EiwAg3z0m07ATYloNBr6zsKRSmZeY7eELTwIOkyxvnPkmhaTfHe62leleGkLVxoCqP4QAvD_BwE Also, these armbands are great to have on at the same time for...

Any other racquet I should waste my money on in the hope that it’s the one?

I bought some Donnay Pro One 97's when I was having arm trouble and they are great frames. They are filled with high density foam and are some of the most flexible frames available. They are having a Buy One get one free US Open sale on their Formula Frames. I got the 18x 20 Pro One but there is...

Pros and cons of adding weight to the handle

I was mostly looking for weight to help with volley's as I've been playing more doubles lately (Stability & Plow through). But I would agree that practice & lessons/videos would be helpful with this as well... ;)

Pros and cons of adding weight to the handle

Bumping this thread as I am considering removing the lead I added to the handle/head as I have mostly been lifting beer cans since COVID :p. Picking up and swinging the sticks seem a little heavy lately, could just be me ;-) Added about 12 Grams to the handle and 5 at 10, 12 & 2. Thoughts...

Control string for Angell TC95 18x20 - flat hitter

I have never tied Natural Gut but would love to try it! It gets wet here on the wet/west coast but I can use regular poly in my other frame on wet days (yes, we still play after squeegeeing the courts as best we can ;-) What natural gut is most durable and resilient overall? Thanks so much ;-)

    Foot faults

I got called on this in a friendly doubles match the other day! I have a flat footed serve until I push up and hit the ball... and then into the court... I told the accuser as much :-D Old thread but still relevant ;-)
