Bublik mocks Nadal and Murray: "Suddenly, one is bald and old"

Sure Bublik is being superficial. But when a 22 GS winner plays at the level of top 200 you can't ignore that. The visual does match his level and vice versa.

Will Nadals career end like Federers?

In the end it was worse. Too many batterings against lower ranked players.

    BabyDal vs. PeakDick

HC a different story as always for Nadal.

Was Nadal's retirement this year always on the cards or did Nadal suffer another injury between the Olympics and the US Open?

If Nadal was truly injured then he would not be playing. He can play just fine but only as a top 200 player. That is his true level.

    Is Venus Retired Yet

She's on a journey. Come on Nadal, can't let her beat you on this.

China Shenanigans: If this does not make the ATP/WTA to make changes, nothing will

Alcohol not required. The aggression & violence is a function of your wild west history.

Now that Nadal has announced his retirement, does this change anything in Djokovic's psyche?

If Alcaraz & Sinner are the future as Djoko has said, then Nadal must be part of the past. It is Djoko who has been living rent free in Nadal's head. Not the other way round.

China Shenanigans: If this does not make the ATP/WTA to make changes, nothing will

Also need to run the stats on mass / school shootings / random violence. How many more will die until the next USO? You guys don't deserve to host any tennis.

China Shenanigans: If this does not make the ATP/WTA to make changes, nothing will

a few people > no crowd > USO crowd (animals in human clothing)

Badosa playing around with face and wrinkles

As a fair skin mediterranean, Badosa will have leathery skin and wrinkles in a few years, worse than Nadal. So she's not wrong.

    Nadal Retires

More than 2 years too late. But better than being the perpetual journey man. His legacy can no longer take a beating.

Who had a more shocking fall - Federer or Nadal

One was realistic. The other is delusional. One is looking happy and healthy. The other looking aged in life not just tennis.

    Chinese men’s tennis rising

They're all good to watch in this form. Shang is like a better version of Nishikori.

Who is the Most Epic Player Ever?

Most epic fall from GOATness in 2022 and still falling.

John McEnroe: Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz cannot dominate like ‘Big Three’ did

Nadal only dominated on clay. So it is feasible for Sinner and Alcaraz to smash Nadal's performance off clay. But to reach the level of 2006 Fed or NCYGS Djoko is another thing.

Jack Draper admit he hit an illegal shot vs FAA

That's why he went on to lose the next match. Should have just owned up within a few hours of the match. Maybe he went on this forum and saw he had some supporters.

    King of practice is back

He needs to listen to Federer and keep going forever. He should enter every single competition and at least collect the 1st round money. A dead horse can never be flogged enough. We need some more.
  19. B

    King of practice is back

Laver cup is a retirement home. It's not to go out on an high but to rescue a bit of dignity. Personally, I'm with the the Nadal fans. He should go to the USO for one more whipping.

Who is Emma Raducanu's tennis GOAT?

So her favourite tournament is Wimbledon but her favourite major is USO.

The difference of career ending between big 3

Federer ending was defined by injury, not ageing like Nadal. He had a timely send-off at Wimbledon champions parade and Lavers cup surrounded by contemporaries as he wanted. OTOH Nadal has been in the wilderness for > 2 years now, continually getting beat by low rank players. And yet he can't...

Unacknowledged Double bounce at match point costs FAA the match!

The ball has wicked side spin. Don't know all this talk of top spin is.

Unacknowledged Double bounce at match point costs FAA the match!

I agree with that guy but don't need convincing. If you know tennis you already know.

Draper half volley call was correct

It's neither a half-volley nor a volley. Contact is too early and with the frame for the former. Contact too late for a volley. It's not even legal as a table tennis serve. It's a foul shank between racket, ball and ground.
  25. B

Unacknowledged Double bounce at match point costs FAA the match!

The key is that the ball hits the outside of the the tip i.e.. the ball is underneath the rim of the racket. The only way it can go up from that position is if it hits the ground first (even if this distance is 1mm) and rebounds. The ball might even have tried to oscillate for an instance...

Unacknowledged Double bounce at match point costs FAA the match!

If it's a half volley then it's a double bounce. Don't know what legit you're talking about.

Should players be allowed one instant replay challenge per match? - The miscarriage of justice for FAA against Draper

Draper knows he didn't get under the ball. He should own up and offer the point.

Nadal is 28-13 vs Djokovic, Federer and Murray in Grand Slam tournaments

Nadal actually prefers bo5 b/c he has more chance to recover if he gets behind. He also prefers some familiarity with opponents or ones with a typical game. Considering those factors , this is exactly the sort of scenario he absolutely dreads:
