    Pure Strike 2024

Had my first hit with the PS 18x20 last night and can make a few observations about the frame. But a little background first. As a long-time fan of this line I have played with every generation since the black/orange original (best colourway). I was keen to see how much of a difference a few...

    Blade V8 Official Thread.

In the Fukky review there was an image showing how it works. It appears that the graphite hairpin thickens at the bottom to match up with the buttcap instead of that area being taken up with foam handle on top of the thin rectangular handle of the hairpin, which Wilson marketing says makes it...

    Blade V8 Official Thread.

This is turning into some sort of conspiracy theory thread. TW has published the specs of the v8 US SE. We know the methodology they use. They take a batch of about 6 racquets and publish the average. They are one of if not the most reliable sources of real world specs of the racquets they sell...

Update after a couple of hours playing social singles, I can say that although it's a bit firmer than the v7 you can recognise the DNA of the v7 in the v8, but maybe with some Pro Staff v13 DNA injected into it.

Different feel to v7. I understand what you're saying, I played with the 18x20 v7 for a while and this does not have the same softness and flex. V8 is not harsh though. I can't see any difference in the beam width side by side with the v7. Would need callipers to accurately measure that.

This just arrived. 320 grams strung with 4G rough and about 6 points head light with plastic still on the handle. Have yet to test it on court but a few ball bounces and hitting against the wall it is solid, smooth (no harsh vibes), not mushy at all or overly muted, and generally reminds me of...

I think the balance point indicates decent weight in the head despite low stock weight.

    Wilson Pro Stock Line

I've always regretted selling my H22 18x20. Then watching the price of a replacement on the pro stock market continue to rise while my national currency slumped. That H22 was most solid and arm friendly racket I've ever used and right up there for 'feel'. The only knock I had on it was that the...

    Customising PureAero 2019

To address the issue you described in op I think it's more beneficial to add in throat. The twistweigjt of the PA is already quite high if you look at TWU figures. So it does not really need more weight in hoop for stability. Sent from my SM-N960F using Tapatalk

    Customising PureAero 2019

Try 2 small strips of lead (e.g. 1 inch each side) inside the throat area. Gives more plough without raising swimgweight too much or changing balance. I tried adding weight to hoop bit like you it took off too much racquet head speed which leads to the ball flying. I also added a leather grip...

Tennis Warehouse Playtest: Babolat Pure Strike (16x19, 18x20, Tour) 3rd Gen Playtest

Can you compare it to the 2019 Pure Aero? In particular power, control and comfort? Sent from my SM-N960F using Tapatalk

Is the 2019 Pure Aero superior in every way to the 2016 lime?

I much prefer the 2019 PA for the smoother, less brassy feel, and the added control. The 2016 was too powerful and uncontrollable without putting extreme topspin on every shot. Using the 2019 PA, I find I can hit through the ball and flatten shots with less risk of the ball flying long than the...

    Babolat Pure Aero 2019

Just put Kirschbaum PLII red 16G in my PA19 at 42lbs. Feels sublime, comfortable and control is still there. Previously tried hybrid Pacific Poly/ Gosen OG-Sheep (52/56 lbs) and Lux BBO/ VS Touch (50/54 lbs). The first hybrid gave good spin and feel but the mains getting stuck out of place...

If it's an H22 it's worth a lot more than a stock 98S and you migh double or tripple your money by re-selling it. You should ask the seller who the pro was. Sent from my CPH1725 using Tapatalk

New Pro Staff 97 for 2019

Is this it? Is he simply saying that the 2019 version will be released in May and is going to be a black on black PJ of the black and white (tuxedo) version with softer (than 2016) flex in the hoop?

    T Fight 315?

Hope your rehab continues to go well so you can get back out there hitting again soon. I tried the XTC 315 (non-Ltd) and it was too stiff feeling for me even with a poly/multi hybrid. As to the Ltd, I also have the 2013 version and would be keen to know how this update of the Ltd plays compared...
