Racket Demo Program in the United Kingdom

Near St. Albans in Hertfordshire. There is a racket shop in Letchworth that does demos and also Tennis Nuts in Northwood. Neither carry Wilson which is frustrating as I was interested in trying the Blade v9. I've committed to a Pure Strike 98 (16x19) now, but my wife is still looking. We might...

Moving from Babolat Pure Aero (2019) to a more control-orientated racket.

So, I've been using the Pure Strike 98 (16x19) racket for a little while now... Initially when I hit a ball with the racket it felt a bit dead and I feared that I'd find the racket boring  I had to check myself and remember that I've been used to using a lively and stiff Pure Aero...

Moving from Babolat Pure Aero (2019) to a more control-orientated racket.

Thanks to everyone who has contributed, the help has been very useful. I've decided to buy a Pure Strike 98 (16x19) and to stick with RPM Blast @ 50lbs. I'll let you know how it goes... !

Racket Demo Program in the United Kingdom

Hello TW Europe, I am from the United Kingdom and have been looking to change rackets, so naturally I fell upon Tennis Warehouse, the reviews and the demo program which sounds perfect. I was both surprised and disappointed to see that the demo program is not available in the UK. Are there any...

Moving from Babolat Pure Aero (2019) to a more control-orientated racket.

Interesting that you picked that up. Although I'm surprised by the word "source" being the reason you noticed? What would the US say instead? I thought that would be universal English. I'm from the UK, so we have a messed up system where we use miles, kilograms, pounds, litres, depending on what...

    Bonjour from Babolat: Part Trois

Hello Babolat! Moving from a Pure Aero (2019) to a Pure Strike 98 Gen4 (16x19) - what string recommendations would you suggest? Please include tensions and whether it's recommended to have different strings and tensions in crosses and mains. Thank you!

Moving from Babolat Pure Aero (2019) to a more control-orientated racket.

I tried a Dunlop CX200 in a shop demo and I did like it against the net, my groundstrokes felt very nice. For a while I was giving it a lot of consideration, but I've been put off by reports of a very low swing weight (sub 270g) which is being reported as poor quality control. That made me...

Moving from Babolat Pure Aero (2019) to a more control-orientated racket.

Hi all, thank you for taking the time to respond. All the answers are very helpful. I'm going to try to source some demo rackets and [try to] take my time over the switch. Sourcing the Blade v9 and an Aero 98 might be difficult though. I know a club player has been waiting for a number of weeks...

Moving from Babolat Pure Aero (2019) to a more control-orientated racket.

Hello all, I've been playing with the Babolat Pure Aero (2019) for around 4-5 years now, which I've enjoyed using. I string it with Babolat RPM Blast 125 at 50lbs and I find this is great for topspin exchanges at the back of the court, but I sometimes hit it long. I find with my volleys there...
