Well looks like the price of the Pure Aero VS went up $20. Would expect the new strike VS to be $269 a piece now as well. Getting criminal…

    Pure strike tour 16x20?

I just got a new pure strike tour 16x19 and it’s the best frame I’ve hit with since the old babolat pure control tours from the early 2000s. I really miss that frame. Stiff but solid and not harsh. The tour 2020 version is way more comfortable than the project one 7 16x19.

    Court cost

Well lots of replies. I can afford it which is why I’m asking. Don’t want the maintenance of rubico. There are zero cost analyses of claytech and looking back at old searched threads the cost seemed to be 60-80K total. I am going to reach out to har tru myself. Was interested if anyone had...

    Court cost

Does anyone know ballpark cost of a home claytech court? Has anyone played on one recently? I am contemplating installing one but haven’t seen much in the way of threads here in a while with the search function.

tour bite soft is way more comfortable. I love Alu but it’snot comfortable

    Why the Outrageous Racket Prices?

The MAP has also destroyed brick and mortar vs internet competition. Now that everyone sells for the same price no one gets an edge. I find this practice almost a monopoly. Imaging if the big internet dealers actually had to compete against each other with price offerings. Pure drives used to...

    2019 Wilson Blade

agree 100%. The gut poly hybrid feels so soft but lacks feedback in this frame. I played much better with full poly.

At age 58 it’s time for a new generation player frame: Follow My Saga Here

BHBH, playing with blade 16x19 here coming from PS 2017 Project one7 16x19 and now gelling after initially feeling it was underpowered. that being said really like the strikes and have contemplated going back to them. Interestingly the review from Chris on TW who I follow for consistency...

    2019 Wilson Blade

Hit again with my 16x19 today. Played much better. I was much more impressed with the frame today. Great pace and control of the forehand with good spin. I lacked a little spin on my two handed but was hitting much better slices with more time with the frame. This frame volleys well and has...

    2019 Wilson Blade

Hit with my new blade 98 16x 19 last night. Strung at 48 with Luxilon Alu power fluoro. I have been playing with pure strikes for the last few years in 16x19 and hit with the CV blade over the summer and decided to give this a go instead of getting the CV version which I liked. I haven’t hit in...

Totally agree with this. They could make limited quantities.

    Trust Blade 98S

I played pure drives (+) from 2002 until 2010 at which time I played a year or so of my best tennis with Pure Storm tour plus frames and then began playing a little less and went back to Pure Drives which I played with from 2012-2013. In 2013 I developed a horrible case of tennis elbow and...

Opinion - Most stable 11 oz racquet

The pure strike 16x19 is solid as a rock for that weight category. I added weight in the handle to get it to 12oz and then took it away because it played better stock for me.

    Blade 98S (18x16) string breakage

I’d break ALU power in about 2 hours in the Blade and 45 minutes in the steam. I played with the steam for only a session or two because of the string breakage issues. The blade did better with ripspin/revolve 15 (1.35) and I played this for several years.

Any flexible racquets, ~11.7oz., 16x19, that are also medium powered?

Try the new phantom. I think it fits the bill

    Prince Phantom

I don't find it super flexible surprisingly since I played pure drives in high school and college. I am definitely sensitive to throat flex and head flex and I'd describe this as more uniform. It doesn't feel sub 60 to me which in my book is a good thing. I'm strung at 50# with all poly.

Played another match with this frame. Doubles this time. I love volleying with it. I also returned quite well. Still working on the serve but all in all I'm liking it. I hit one or two killer topspin lobs with the spin friendliness of this frame.

    Prince Phantom

I have now hit twice with my new Phantom. My first observations: 1. It does not feel as flexible as stated to me. I don't feel a significant amount of flex when making contact with the call. It is very comfortable but to my liking does not have any wet noodle feel. 2. It is more powerful than...

    Prince Phantom

Can I ask what the NTRP ratings are for people struggling to hit through the court? I'm curious if this is a relative feel compared to other rackets at all levels related to the racket or if this is related to different skill levels. I suspect it is lower powered than most users other frames so...
