    Toughest Racket You String?

Angell racquets with the double-blocked holes. Tried a number of different methods with limited success. Have not used a pathfinder awl, however.

There was a 18x20 QTour 300 listed on the big auction site in the states that I just bought. Seller says he brought it over from Europe.

Is the 4 1/2 grip size slowly dying out?

I find that if I go smaller than 4 1/2 my wrist starts to hurt. My wrist does not like the "snap"

    Diary of a Racketaholic

My are 4 3/8 and I believe Ryushen uses 4 1/2. However, being an older Yonex easy to increase the grip size by using a thicker base grip.

How do you guys find used stringing machines?

I think it was mentioned, but I used "search tempest". I used search terms such as "tennis stringer", "stringing machine", "neos", "ektelon"

How do you guys find used stringing machines?

Ditto on Craigslist. I actually found a used Eketelon machine (the predecessor to the Prince Neos) about 2 hours away advertised for $100, but when I got there the guy gave it to me for free! It needed a little TLC but has worked flawlessly for 6 years. I also used a 3rd party Craigslist...

Syntec Team vs. Feather Thin Grip

Have not used the Feather Thin, but in my opinion the Tourna Pro Thin is thinner and compresses less than the Syntec Team

    Yonex - changing grip size

Yonex racquets do not use pallets -- it's a molded grip. You could send it to a customizer to have a new molded grip installed, try sanding down the existing handle, or sell the racquet and purchase one with the correct grip size. If it's an new Ezone 100 I'll buy it ;)

    My Dual Reality

Bought a used racquet about a year ago that was strung with Weiss Cannon Dual Reality and I really liked the feel. This is a pre-packaged hybrid with co-poly mains and synthetic gut crosses. It's somewhat unique in that they recommend stringing the crosses about 6 lbs higher than the mains. I...

    Rackets .. Set FOR LIFE!!!!!!

I apologize for any confusion, but the situation with the NCAA has to do with men's basketball and to a lesser extent football. I am unaware of any tennis related issues.

    Rackets .. Set FOR LIFE!!!!!!

Spent a couple years in Lawrence for grad school. Was there in 1988 when Danny and the Miracles won a national championship. Nice city, but the summers were brutal with the heat and humidity. We would wait to play tennis until the sun went down and the temperature dropped below 90 degrees...

Forgiving racquet 270-300 for an lower-intermediate female

I second the Angell ASL3. My 15 year old daughter switched to it and really likes it. She also demoed Yonex Ezone 100, Clash 100L, Clash 98, and Blade 104 (both CV and V7)

Head Graphene 360 Speed Pro - Balance issues?

On Head's website and on the racquet it indicates the balance is 1 in (inch) HL, not 1 pt. 1 inch = 8 pts. Those are unstrung specs and will change once the racquet is strung.

    Head Graphene 360 Speed Racquets

I find it very arm friendly. Mine is strung with a poly/syn. gut hybrid and I have yet to feel any arm pain or soreness.

Wilson Blade CV, weird grip shape hump in handle normal?

That’s Wilson’s Ergo handle system. It’s suppose to enhance the two-handed backhand. It’s easily removable.

Prince Phantom Pro and Phantom Pro100P

LOL...the person from TW said exactly the opposite (see below). Stiff poly at low tensions caused the ping/vibration and higher tensions eliminated it.

    T Fight 315?

Lead is critical for the Tec 315 LTD to be playable. I removed the leather grip and put 2g at 9:00 and 2g at 3:00 and it plays so much better. I've also found that I prefer it strung with a multi rather than poly. Currently using velocity, but have also enjoyed FXP in this racquet. Powerful...

Extending Head racquets through pallet use?

Not exactly sure what you mean by "cut the tip of the newer pallets too (so there’s no groove)", but I believe the short answer is yes. I just did something similar on my Tec 315's which use a Head pallet. I removed the old 4 1/4" pallet, replaced it with a new 4 3/8" pallet, and cut the new...
