Is Fed in a different Era than djoker? How do we define eras?

Different generations, but their paths overlapped when they were both excellent for 4-5 years. Young Djokovic gave prime Fed problems on HC, while older Fed also gave prime Djokovic problems. Very balanced match-up.

    If Alcaraz Loses to Djokovic...

It doesn't look good in the comparison vs Djokovic, if he aims for that huge height that's for sure. Other than that, Alcaraz is a great player already and he's gonna be even better.

Is this the perfect ending of a perfect career?

Don't think so. It probably fires him up for next season. He played at a super high level. Alcaraz brought close to his best version and he straight-seted him.

Alcaraz will win 12 slams by 25 and 20 by 30.

In before Djokovic comes back at almost 38 and bags 2 more slams next season. :)

Alcaraz will win 12 slams by 25 and 20 by 30.

Of course quality of opponents matter. There are plenty of boxers that had better records than Ali, but he did it in the golden age of boxing. But Alcaraz can still make it a conversation. Beat Djokovic record by 3-4 slams (chances of him playing 100+ games vs top 5 all time legends like Fed...

It is not Easy at age 37+ outplay a younger all-time great

The speed and power difference was huge in this final. Can't fight age.

Does beating Nole even mean anything now?

No. His level this year is very bad.

Is this the only time ever that an Alcaraz - Djokovic Final feels underwhelming?

Djokovic has been playing poorly all year so no surprise here. He's old, has a bad knee, no trainer and so on.

    Is Djokovic Finnish?

Better not mention level of opposition as an argument for Alcaraz. Alcaraz is not going to have two all time greats to deal with like Djokovic did with Federer and Nadal. That's like comparing 70s in heavyweight boxing to current gen.

Alcaraz, Sinner, injury. Three things which can stop Djokovic from winning slam nowadays and in future.

Probably. He can fluke one, but Alcaraz is too good for him and peaked perfectly to clean up the field really good for as long as he can stay fit.

    Djokovic's comeback

Should focus on the slams. I think davis cup is bigger than the olympics at tennis.

If Zverev wins today, does he become the greatest 1 Slam champ?

Never liked Zverev, he always seems to miss something in pressure moments.

Repost? Halep Ban Reduced, eligible to compete immediately?

The third and most likely scenario is ITIA had a weak case and were overall abusive against Halep. Halep accused them of this since they kept delaying the hearing. Seems like she was right to be suspicious and angry at ITIA. This should have been a simple, easy case of negligence and...

Repost? Halep Ban Reduced, eligible to compete immediately?

Being guilty of negligence vs being guilty of cheating on purpose are not the same. She was guilty the moment the substance was found in her blood. But they tried to make her look like the Lance Armstrong of tennis or something. Seems like that wasn't the case at all. That's why she got 9...

Repost? Halep Ban Reduced, eligible to compete immediately?

That sounds like something from The Sopranos. It's probably plain old abuse of power from ITIA. Flexing their muscle and made to look like clowns by CAS.
  16. R

Repost? Halep Ban Reduced, eligible to compete immediately?

ITIA should be ashamed by this verdict. Halep should sue them. They cost her a year of career and multi-million dollars. When you hand out a 4 year suspension you must have an open and shut case.

Djokovic admits that he was outplayed for most of the W 2019 final despite winning the match outright

I think he knows deep down that Federer is a better grass court player than him.

    How did Djokovic manage

For me Djokovic always was a combination between Federer and Nadal. I saw hundreds of his games and he's simply a better attacker than Nadal, and a better defender than Federer. So... you add these two together, plus his monster mentality... he's the most complete player in terms of switching...

"Watching Federer play has moved me more than Djokovic"

Nobody should care that much really. It's well known that both Federer and Nadal dislike Djokovic to some extent.

Thoughts regarding Djokovic's losses to Federer post-2011.

I don't think Federer has any advantage h2h-wise vs Djokovic. None. Imo, that 2008 4-set loss vs 21 years old Djokovic at AO was quite problematic for Federer. Don't tell me 2008 Federer is not still in his prime. Fed probably dominates Djokovic at wimbledon and indoors, and that only for 2-3...

Greatest slam win by a non-Big3 in Big3 era

Delpo 2009. Those were close to peak age Federer and Nadal. The kind of Fed that straight setted Djokovic in a major. And vs Nadal... boy, did Nadal ever suffer a harsher beatdown than that in a slam? He got 6 games lol.

Unironically, Novak "Nole" Djokovic needs to win Olympic Gold before we can place him in the pantheon of ATGs.

Almost irrelevant. Olympics is the creme de la creme for many many sports, but tennis is not one of them.
