    Head Gravity 98 16x19 (Coming in 2025!)

If they are killing the Tour as a 18X20 100, then the supply will run out eventually. The Auxetic is okay but feels too muted compared to the 2019 and 2021 360+ models. I have three 2019s (one cracked), two 2021s and two 2023s, but not that excited about loading up on the Auxetic.

    Head Gravity 98 16x19 (Coming in 2025!)

Does anyone have a spec sheet on the full release vertical for the Gravity update? I have been a Tour since the line released, having not been a fan of the launch angle of the MP and a bit too noodle armed to make the Pro work for longer than an hour on court. Hope they are not jettisoning the...

I put four grams in 1g strips under the grip, give or take depending on the spec, and it helps with maneuverability at net.

Tennis Warehouse Playtest: Solinco Whiteout 305 18x20 AND Whiteout 305 XTD 18x20

Interested in this one and would even throw in for a demo (sure I missed the boat) since the GTour has departed these shores (Hyperg17 player) and the specs seam near-ish. Definitely on the radar for the next stop on the racket journey.

Miami Masters SF: [1] Carlos Alcaraz vs. [10] Jannik Sinner

The serve is finally coming around, he’s getting better at coming forward and the net game is still…interesting. Keep working on his hands and with an ounce more of killer instinct, he will be pushing for top 5 given his game and mentality.

Miami Masters SF: [1] Carlos Alcaraz vs. [10] Jannik Sinner

Carlos with an explosive reaction to Sinner’s taunting social media post. (/s)

Miami Masters SF: [1] Carlos Alcaraz vs. [10] Jannik Sinner

Great match. So happy at the possibility these two keep pushing each other and take over. Athletic, high-level shot making from two kids that aren’t total cringey POSs. Tennis needs this. Now, if Sinner could just keep working on that weird net game…

Up on the US site, too, with just three models: Pro, MP and Team. So they're down to three models each of the Gravity, Prestige and Radical available in the US. More pickleball paddles in the Gravity line than tennis racquets. Edit: Worth mentioning again that the Tour was not initially...

    Andy Roddick comments on Wawrinka-Rune

Retired tennis brat who has found some respect with being blunt about the game post-retirement laughs at near-retired tennis brat and rising tennis brat "feud". Big yawns, but more Roddick isn't a bad thing.

Appears so, however, the initial Gravity release, Tour was Europe only for the first ~3 months or so. Pro is just too heavy for me at my age and I didn't like the launch from the original MP, but will give it a demo tomorrow. Just infuriating that Head drops intermediate/advance models in the US...

TsiTsi obliterated by Sinner in Rotterdam

Sinner’s only problem (other than his odd net game) is his lack of clear aggression and killer instinct. Like Alcaraz, he’s maybe too nice and too grounded. It’s not lackadaisical, but just “laissez faire” coolness that maybe will keep him from the top. Unlike Tsi, who is such a try-hard eye roller.

If the “they” is Harry from TennisSpin, “they” are wrong. Tour is still in the lineup with this update.

The Tour's 18x20 without all the stiffness of the Pro fits a pretty specific and popular niche. I've played with other similar 16x19s (SpeedMP, RadicalMP, Blades), and the Gravity MP's spin and launch is just odd, where the Tour feels really close to those "modern players" racquets with a...

Soft on Elbow, good on blocking one hand returns, 310 grams and under, 100 sq inches, whippy, solid slice, not much need for customization

I am a GT player and experimented with a leather grip + 4 grams at 12 to add some heft and touch and had similar results (both 19 and 21 models, HyperG18 a 52). Became a very jarring hit, especially on heavier baseline sessions. Went back to a Hydrosorb grip with 4 x 1 gram strips under, still 4...

Is it worth learning to string myself?

Interested to hear the impressions on Wasabi. I did their demo pack before it was available, wasn’t blown away by anything enough to switch or augment my primary setups (HyperG18) but thought they were solid strings.

Is it worth learning to string myself?

I am glad that I started stringing. I only do my own racquets and am surely still learning at less than a year into it, but I've hit my stride with most of the process (knots can still be a bear with some of the rougher poly's I've tried). I play strictly polys that rarely break but normally...

Caviar plays like a slightly deader Hyper G; Super Toro plays like grippy Cyclone; Absolute plays like soft Confidential.

Has anyone yet had to change their grommets on a Tour or Pro? If so, any words of wisdom on the bumper guard? I've wrestled grommets before but, holy crap, this frame shape is a nightmare. Full one or two CMs trying to set the grommets across the far side of the bumper.

Federer with ON Tennis shoes Dubai

Yeah, there will be a production version eventually. Likely may have been sooner, however, the global production slowdown probably bit them. Re: the carbon plate, On currently uses a carbon plate on at least two racing-focused shoes, the Cloudflash and Cloudboom, so it's not unimaginable it may...

Federer with ON Tennis shoes Dubai

They are plain, but I’m down to give them a shot. I like On as a company and have been wearing their shoes and clothes for years, plus Nike has finally destroyed the Vapor line with this new era of over-teched cement show crap. One concern is durability as I’ve had three On shows in their first...

Maybe not the thread for it, but I recently swapped and rebalanced all my Tours to a leather grip (Head), with Wilson overgrips. The uptick in feel is palpable, however, starting to get some wrist pain on the anterior of my forehand side. Is this possibly just coincidental/unrelated or do I need...

yes, Pro not NXT, my mistake. If the pattern holds, they should be$10-$20 under the NXT. But it is a bit crazy how these are still not out. More time to stock up on the X for me since these look not great.
