Who was the bigger choker: Lendl or Federer?

It`s obviously Lendl. He should have 10-12 slams easily.

    what was Agassi's coolest outfit?

1990 US Open. That`s just peak late eightys early 90s culture. It really can`t get any better than that.

Fed's career after the 2010 AO vs Jim Courier

Courier`s quick and dramatic fall from grace remains one of the biggest mysteries in tennis history.

Most tennis games played in Open era

Some really suprising numbers. Surely Did not expext Edberg or Sampras to be that high on the list as they both Retired early.

If Agassi beats Rafter in 01 W SF?

Mentally, paying Agassi would have been a lot harder for Ivanisevic than playing Rafter. And he came all so close to having a mental breakdown against Rafter. Therefore, I just can`t see him beating Agassi on that day.

Federer is making noise about being able to play tennis again. Exhos...or something more?

What about a revival of a real seniors tours. Seems like the perfect moment to establish such a new tour/revice an existing one. If works really well in golf, why not tennis? Federer being the face of this tour would be a cash cow, no doubt.

Tennis is in the worst shape it’s ever been

The Problem ist the lack of any charismatic players left. There is absolutely nothing appealing or attractive. Boring personalities, boring playing style, no humor, Most Players seem borderline mentally ********, spoiled cry babies, no rivlaries, no variety, every match on every surface oooks...

What if McEnroe doesn't retire in 1992?

I know, 33 was considered old back then, but still his retirement looks a bit strange in retrospective. In 1992 he surely had a bounce back year and saw good succes at the grand slam level. It seemed that he was starting to adapt to the modern game and equipment. So why did he...

Federer is making noise about being able to play tennis again. Exhos...or something more?

Not going to happen, but I ve always thought that Feferer and Nadal plaing together at French Open and Wimbledon doubles would have been the perfect ending.

Was Hingis a lucky transitional champion lime Hewitt?

I`d rather say she was a once in century (or twice with Seles) talent. You don`t perform like that at 16 unless you are out of this world special. Her personality(character simply wasn`t up to the task cash in on that.

There are 40 ATP 250s on the schedule. Why?

Well, because Tennis isn`t Formula one with a closed field of 20 players?

Three finals you'd most like to see reversed in outcome

Agassi -Sampras US Open 1990, as many, I think this would totally change Agassis 90s Davenport - Graf, Wimbledon 1999, not super important but it would have been the icing on the cake. Agassi-Federer US Open 2005, not much explanation needed.

Yulia Putintseva's disgusting behaviour towards ball kid

This is the kind of behaviour ATP/WTA and fans have promoted for the last 50 years. If you give a monkey a gun, dont blame him for the murder.

The 2024 US Open Crowd Has a Chance to Save Pro Tennis

ATP/WTA have never really punished star players for any of their behaviour. They allow every form of misbehaviour. Always have. Why would they start now?

    Why couldn't Wilander crack Wimbledon?

Am pretty sure he cracked quitea a lot at Wimbledon.

Whats your top 10 of all time now (men)

True, but I dont rank players on titels won, an way. That is a far too superficial approach.

Whats your top 10 of all time now (men)

McEnroe would come in at 11/12. He won his titles in a much weaker field than Edberg.

Whats your top 10 of all time now (men)

Times When a "Player of Destiny" Didn't Win A Major

On top of my head: Nadal Wimbledon 2022 Stich Wimbledon 1997 Agassi US Open 2005 Although of course you can argue they dont really meet all your criteria.

    Favorite Pat Rafter matches?

Wimbledon final. No one has ever lost a match in a more gracious way than Rafter did that day. Ivanisevic won the match but Rafter won the event. The guy was all class.
  21. B

Close matches where a win would have changed how we view a player on a surface

The final wasn`t particularly close, but Stich winning Roland Garros in 1996 surely would have elvated him a lot. He would pretty much be the only serve and volley player of the "modern era" to win the French Open. The same can be said for Edberg, of course. But his status his obviusly much...

    NADAL Conquered Federer, NOT Djokovic...

    NADAL Conquered Federer, NOT Djokovic...

Djokovic started winning when Federer was old and Nadal was past his best, no one can deny that.

Is Martina Navratilova the overall tennis greatest ever ??

When you talk about overall accomplishments, including doulbes and mixed, she is obviously the greatest tennis player by a huge margin. Given her insane longevity in doubles and mixed, I have always felt that she could have been competitive in Wimbledon singles far beyond 1994.
  25. B

What's one tennis opinion that has you like this?

Anything that happened pre 2006 and post 2012 is irrelevant when discussing who was the better player, Federer, Nadal or Djokovic
  26. B

    Biggest Overachievers ?

Chang, easily. That skinny Asian midget (not meant in a negative way, just facts) had no business reaching multiple Slam Finals, winning Masters and getting a shigh as number 2 in the world. Pound for ound by far the best player to ever step on a court.
  27. B

Do you prefer fast or slow courts?

Playing myself, slow courts. Watching pros, fast courts, all day. Tennis has become borderline unwatchable with these endless rallies. Frankfurt 1990-1995; that`s what courts should be like for the pros.
  28. B

How would you rate the tennis quality of today‘s final?

Saddly The ATP is going the same route WTA has gone for the last 10 -15 years. A faceless collection of random dudes.
  29. B

If Zverev wins today, does he become the greatest 1 Slam champ?

Based on his resume easily. Not even close. As much as we hate the guy, but this can`t be denied.
  30. B

Slams with two epic semi finals

Surely that must be a record that will stand the test of time.
