How do you recognize patterns in a player? I don't really understand that part. Well from what I saw from before the player usually shot in places I wasn't at so that explains that... other then that I have no idea what you said for anything else, can you lighten the vocabulary? Thanks.
For my entire two years of playing I've only been able to use oversize racquets and I've been wondering whether or not to buy a mid size racquet. But before I spend that much money on one I'm wondering the difference between the two and the legality of oversize racquets in tournaments? Can...
That's strange, for me I always practice with dead balls and I find them to be better than new ones because the new ones need more force to get over the net while the dead ones feel just right. Might just be me or whatever...
The trouble is with me is that my semi western stance makes it bounce high but on the base line, but with eastern I always tend to hit more deep with some spin. I can also switch grips just fine when I'm playing so it's no problem.
The thing is I'm the kind of person to judge the ball after it left the racket because I don't know where they are going to hit.. can you tell me how to judge is it's going to go straight or cross?
I've actually learned how to hit flat today so maybe I should use an eastern grip then my usual semi western? Aside from that I think backspin is easier applied with eastern. Alright I think I get how to play against this person better.
I was playing this person from one of my school matches and everytime he hit the ball short I would return it and rush the net but he always manages to hit it away from me and hit the white line perfectly. I was wondering if there was something I could do to prevent my opponent from passing the...
As people say, whatever helps you win you do. People don't become better just by watching, they go out there and do what they think is best so don't worry about it and just hit the ball how you feel it and improve how you feel it should be.
I know he's just an amateur but he is good for his level I believe. That's why I give him a 7 for footwork because at his level he will get to the balls he will need to get to.
Thanks for all these tips, I think it's best if I do switch it up from now on because I was doing 6 sets of 15 of these so I think I'll cut it down to 3 sets of 20 while adding two other types of arm exercises. Thanks once again.
I'd have to say the man in green was totally in control for the last minute of that game so it's already apparent the guy in white is at a lower level.
For me I determine players by the following things in a scale of 1 - 10
Ground Strokes:
Net:
Serve:
Footwork:
Power:

I'll play anyone who's around 3.0 and up, that should be my level I believe. I can only play in school courts so... please bear with it I'm not old enough to go by train. =\
While doing push ups I balance my feet on my sofa and go on my fists, also I make sure that it always rubs against my sides. This is how I always do my push ups and as a result I've been developing some joint pains mainly in my shoulder. Is there a problem with what I'm doing or is it just...
