Which second generation CTS racquet is closest to the CTS Approach?

Have you hit with the Synergy 26 OS? I'd be interested to know how it compares to the Approach. Also anything comparable to the Graduate which is a fantastic racquet - very spin friendly but with good power.

Which second generation CTS racquet is closest to the CTS Approach?

Kevin, Thanks very much for the kind offer. Unfortunately, I'm really an OS guy. I do have a CTS Graduate 90 and that is a great racquet but I always feel more comfortable with an OS.

Which second generation CTS racquet is closest to the CTS Approach?

I do remember, back in the day, the Synergy range just didn't catch on like the CTS. I can't remember why but I'm sure the feel wasn't quite as good. Regardless, they're near impossible to find here in Australia. The CTS Graduate 110 seems to crop up every now and again but I can't think of when...

Which second generation CTS racquet is closest to the CTS Approach?

I've been playing comp with the CTS Approach 110 and would like a back-up. I realise it's hard to find one in good condition and grip size (and that will ship to Australia), so I thought I could look at one of the second generation CTS frames. Would it be the Synergy 26 or the 24? Is it...

Need alternatives to KSwiss Hypercourt Express and Ultrashot 3: room in the toe box but increased breathability without losing stability

Thanks mate, I'll look at those ones. The Adidas definitely looks like an interesting option.

Need alternatives to KSwiss Hypercourt Express and Ultrashot 3: room in the toe box but increased breathability without losing stability

Thanks for the advice. Given that I only need a bit of extra room in the toe box, not across the entire shoe, the regular one may be a good fit.

Need alternatives to KSwiss Hypercourt Express and Ultrashot 3: room in the toe box but increased breathability without losing stability

Hi all, As the (long) title says: I'd like recommendations of alternatives to the KSwiss shoes listed that provide room in the toe box and increased breathability (I find both KSwiss shoes run extremely hot - and my part of Australia gets VERY warm in summer and throughout most of the year) but...

Head Prestige Classic 2.0 Users Club

Hi all, Can I get some opinions on the following strings paired with the Prestige Classic. Please be aware, I'm in Australia which means string options are limited and the ones I list are the ones I have easy access to. I appreciate other suggestions, but they won't be of much use. Solinco...

Head Prestige Classic 2.0 Users Club

At best it's a piece of fabric pretending to be a leather grip. Regardless, I really do like the racquet and I will be switching to it.

Head Prestige Classic 2.0 Users Club

I unwrapped the leather grip and found the main culprit. Despite the cost, Head have included the thinnest leather grip I have ever seen. More like a wafer made of leather than an actual grip. Add to that, the lack of tac and I can see why it felt so 'off'. I tried it with a Fairway leather and...

Head Prestige Classic 2.0 Users Club

I have no idea. I used Prestige Mids from the original Prestige Pro (which I still use) up to the Flexpoint. This is the first time I've felt something was 'off' with the grip size (not the shape). Have hit with other Head racquets of late and not had the same experience.

Head Prestige Classic 2.0 Users Club

Hi all, I've been demoing the Classic 2.0 the past couple of weeks and am really struck by how small the grip feels. Does the grip size run small or is the Head leather grip unusually thin

What was the replacement for Prince Polygut or what is the modern equivalent?

Prince Polygut is an older string that was discontinued quite some time ago. Not sure how many will remember it or have played with it. Anyone who does, what do you think is the modern equivalent of Polygut or what replaced it in the Prince lineup - if anything did? I found an old pack the other...

Babolat International Tour: looking for a replacement

Thanks very much. I did find a couple of older mentions of Babolat International Tour and thought it most likely that was the one. Apparently not sold at TW but one comment about it being sold here in Australia and elsewhere (South Africa I think). Perhaps it was know by another name?

Babolat International Tour: looking for a replacement

Hi all, I've recently bought a pair of racquets from the auction site and found each was strung with 'Internation Tour'. The brand name wasn't visible but i can still see 'made in France' so I'm assuming it is Babolat International Tour 16 and 17g. Looked around, found it was discontinued ( a...

    Pure Drive Plus pre-2021 models

I've been able to buy two of the 2018 and hope that will keep me going for a little while. Thanks to all who offered opinions and experiences. I am still curious to see how the 2021 will play with thinner gauge and will be testing some Solinco 18, 19 and 20g to see what happens. I'm not...

    Pure Drive Plus pre-2021 models

I haven't checked the specs but I can feel there is a difference. It's not much and they balance out relatively close but the 21 is more headlight. I've added some weight to bring them into line. I have tried thinner gauge strings but I'll keep on testing to see if I find one that works for me.

    Pure Drive Plus pre-2021 models

JD, Thanks for the reply - I didn't think anyone was going to bother. I really have hated the 2021 PD (regular or +). The response (or lack of) just messes with (that's the PG way of saying it) my game and I really don't want to waste my time any further. I've tried 18g and 19g on the 2021 but...

    Pure Drive Plus pre-2021 models

I've been using the PD Plus for the last year, after playing the 2018 model. I've never been able to gel with the 2021 version. The feel is okay but the biggest difference seems in to be in the access to spin. I can still generate spin, of course, but not to the same degree as the 2018 version...

What would be the best string you've tried (single and/or hybrid) to soften the feel of a Pure Aero but not rob it of its inherent power and spin?

Just as the title says: what string - single or hybrid - have you used that softens the feel of the Pure Aero but isn't so dead it robs it of the inherent power and spin. I've been trying Yonex Poly Tour Pro and its been okay but I feel there has to be much better. Someone suggested Solinco...

Can you recommend a Technifibre racquet that lines up with/is similar to this racquet....

Our club will be entering into a sponsorship with Tecnifibre. That being the case, a number of players would like to switch racquets (or up-date old ones) to show support for the new sponsor. However, all are unsure of which frames would be the best match for what they're using. To help speed up...
