    And so it ends

The question you should be asking now is, what's next for this aging behemoth? My guess is limit switches or motor brushes. Keep fingers crossed for a few months of flawless operation.

    babolat 2502 please help

Fapostolis: if by "single" potentiometer you mean the one next to the two red capacitors, then you turned the correct "Offset" adjustment screw. If no change in measured value, then next step is to check gray ribbon cable for continuity. If all connections measures well, then the bad news is it...

    Babolat clamp with problem

Could be string debris inside clamp jaws. Irwin is right, you will need to disassemble the clamp to clean out the debris. If not debris, then could be a broken spring that needs replacing. You can send the clamp to Stringmachines.com. Call JC at string machines and they can take care of this...

Your Star 4 is certainly sick, it's turned into a Star 5. Call JC and tennis machines (www.tennismachines.com) and see if they have replacement Star 5 parts. Babolat stopped making Star 5's a few years ago, so no telling how many spares are still available. Take care, stay well and safe.

Babolat Star 3 motherboard or spare parts

What is your Star 3 doing or not doing? Very seldom is the problem on the Motherboard. Given the age of these venerable machines, the part to replace is the Megatron. ($175 to $250). The Megatron is a precision laser trimmed potentiometer that measures the compression of the reference spring...

    Babolat Star 4/2502e issue

Hi Josh: Yes motor brushes are an issue for machines of this vintage. There would be more intermittent movement of the tension head and I don't recall reading that. Another thing to check is the main motor relay. All these things along with the two limit switches are all inter related so it...

    Babolat Star 4/2502e issue

    Babolat Racket Station Clamp enquiry

One of your clamp's adjustment has slipped slightly and needs to be readjusted to allow easier access to cleaning teeth. Each clamp has a plastic cover that needs to be removed to allow access to the allen key locking screw. Turning this screw unlocks the knob and relocks it after the clamp...

Babolat VS II stringing machine Clamps

Never had this problem but may I make a suggestion? Since there is no porthole from which to adjust the locking base you will have to remove the track from the base, look for the round nut on the back side of the track, lock the round nut in a big heavy vise, take appropriate allen wrench on...

How to calibrate a Babolat 3001?

Yes, in the photo is the green printed circuit board with three potentiometers. Send me your email address and I will email you calibration instructions. (abllee@verizon.net). You will need a small inexpensive digital voltmeter and a spring calibrator. Do NOT use a digital calibrator.

    Babolat Sensor Stringing Machine

Looks nice. Please check the clamp bases to make sure they are the current single return spring version, if not, then check with Babolat USA to see if they have any left for exchange. Only other thing that can go wrong is the motor brushes wear out next and could need replacement. Other than...

    Sensor Clamp Base

Yes, two spring bases were a poor design and should be swapped out for the much improved single spring version. Takes less than 10 minutes to swap out the clamp base. Good Luck and thank you for update for new Babolat after sales manager. Is there an phone extension?

    Babolat star4 born again

When calibrating with digital gauges, there is almost zero stretch in gauge and the tensionhead can sometimes oscillate (back and forth) leading to errors in the reading, therefore the suggestion that you use a spring calibrator. The oscillation error happens to some machines and not others...

Moritz: I don't have a PT8 but checked with several people that do. They say their machines do not make this fast clicking (buzzing) and that you should consider sending it back to factory for repair. Definitely needs to go back to Toyo Zouki in Japan.

    Babolat Star 5 buzzer

Kmocho: Sorry for the late reply, I've not run into this issue so can not recommend the proper remedy. As a guess I would resolder the connections on the PC board connecting the buzzer (very easy). If that doesn't work, look for a replacement buzzer. Albert
