Looking to Travel Somewhere for Winter to Play

@bobleenov1963 did you play in their adult program? How was it - can you describe your experience? I'd be traveling alone as a NTRP 5.0 (UTR 10). Some matchmaking would be great. I suppose I could just participate in their training program and probably get matched with some good players.

Looking to Travel Somewhere for Winter to Play

Do you play there? I just googled the place and it is MASSIVE compared to anything in my area. I see they have programs for adults, which could be up my alley.

Looking to Travel Somewhere for Winter to Play

I live in New England which means winter weather for the next 5-6 months. I work from home full-time, so I can live anywhere. Anyone know a good place (maybe a large club?) where I could live cheaply and play outdoors daily? Thinking about taking a 1-month trip just to escape the nasty winter here.

    Tension Difference Between Stringing Machines

@Rabbit Thanks for the reply. My only concern is that my racket recommends a tension between 50-59 lbs. Based on your suspicion with my DW + fly clamps (which I kind of suspect is right), I suppose that I may have been stringing at a "true" tension of 46 lbs all along, even though I thought it...

    Tension Difference Between Stringing Machines

1 clamp. I actually tinkered with using 2 on maybe 2 rackets, but didn't notice a difference, so I went back to 1 clamp since only using 1 clamp left more room for my hands to weave. I don't quite understand this part. I would level the DW bar on every cross. It went like this: 1. Add tension...

    Tension Difference Between Stringing Machines

My bad, yes, I meant the X-6. I've updated the OP. Are you referring to something like this calibrator device? No & no. Yes, with rubbing alcohol + paper towel maybe once per ~10 rackets. The DW would always take a bit more time to get the weight level, whereas the ELS is pretty much...

    Tension Difference Between Stringing Machines

Machines - Gamma X-6FC X-6 Stringing Machine (Drop Weight) - Gamma Progression II ELS Stringing Machine (ELS) Background Used my drop weight for 2 years stringing at 56lbs. Upgraded to the ELS and strung my first racket @ 56 lbs and it felt WAY too tight. Strung the next at 51... still too...

Two different forehands in this video

Hello, I'm the black shirt guy in the video (it's navy blue for the record :p). @StringSnapper linked me here from a YT comment in my video. This was an Open Level tournament, but I'd consider both of us high end 4.5 or low end 5.0. My UTR is 9 his is 10. Second, I've never heard of MTM, I...
