The physics of a dropweight tensioner

There always seems to be questions regarding how accurate a dropweight tensioner is. In simple words, very accurate. I will present here the physics governing a dropweight tensioner. Here is a schematic of a string being tensioned by a dropweight machine: We know from physics that, in order...

Can you go lower than I have in terms of embarrassing myself?

I was hitting a serve. I tossed the ball too far in front of me, but I continued on with the service motion anyway. As I dragged my right foot to my left foot and took a little hop to hit the ball, my feet got tangled up and I tripped over myself and fell onto the court. But it's okay...

    thinnest leather grips

When I started playing tennis, a 4 3/8 grip with an overgrip feels perfect. I think my palm has grown quite a bit more muscle over the past year, and this setup feels slightly large for me. A 4 3/8 without an overgrip now feels perfect. But I don't want to play with a bare leather grip. Do...

    sprained wrist

I sprained my wrist last monday. What I feel odd right now is that, I don't feel much pain when my wrist is at rest, and not even much pain when I try to lift something. But when I mildly bend my wrist outword, and then mildly twist clockwise, I can feel as though the ligament and the bone rub...

multifilament strings that hold tension longer

I've used Wilson sensation and alpha gut 2000. I like how these multi's feel when freshly strung, but they lose a lot of tension after 2-3 hours of playing. Do you guys know of any multifilament strings that can keep the playability for a longer period of time? Thanks
