    Let’s talk Solinco Whiteout 18x20xtd 27.5

You are not making it easy. I am right now playing WO XTD 16*19 (as a backup to PA+ 2023) and every now & then some ball just launches. Your 18*20 review is enticing.

2023 Pure Aero Plus is the new DR98+?

I have used both and 2023 fits my style (4.0 flat hitter) better. 2019 is easier to play with but has less control on every shot than 2023. 2019 PA+ matches with heavy topspin baseliner style to the 100% while 2023 one will be like 80% match. 2019 is more string sensitive in a way that if you...

    Vote for my Poly Cross!

PTP is really made for Yonex racquets. I have enjoyed PTP cross with origin/Gut mains in ezone (DR+ & 2020 98+) as well with Tec Multifeel mains in Vcore 98+(2021). I rarely play with full poly (5+ years) so can’t comment on that.

    Vote for my Poly Cross!

I have used 5 (other than Confidential and RPM Blast) out of 7 you listed in gut mains -poly cross setup and my preference will be 1-A. PTP -- String bed feels little too mushy for me if used in soft racquets. 1-B. Max Power Rough -- More spin than PTP cross, but I feel ball tracks through the...

2023 Pure Aero Plus is the new DR98+?

Yes. But coming from 2019 PA+ I had some adjustment period. During warm-up of BH to BH rallies I hardly hit good backhands. No such problem during the match (though everything clicked after first 4 games). I hit with more topspin on my BH than on my FH. 2023 PA+ backhands hits very similar to...

2023 Pure Aero Plus is the new DR98+?

No. OHBH. Though I try to avoid getting into BH to BH patterns against 2HBH players ;)

2023 Pure Aero Plus is the new DR98+?

I have played in past with all versions of Ezone 98+ except the latest one. There is something about Yonex Ezone+ that I could not get totally comfortable with. I have been playing with 2019 PA+ (4 grams at 3/9 and 6 in handle) since late 2022. I bought 2023 PA+ and finally played 2+ hours this...

    Diadora Blushield Torneo Official Thread

I started using one this month in my regular size and I am very impressed. I should have used these since they first came out. Support/Stability is excellent. Hard stop, direction change is probably best of what I have used in last 5 years. This reminds me of Barricade 7s. Energy Return is...

    Solinco Whiteout and Blackout

@McLovin can you compare BO XTD with PA+? I am looking to replace PA+(2019) with little more comfortable extended frame, while still keeping the power. I demoed WhiteOut XTD and I feel power level is lower than what I am looking for now.

Lotto Raptor 100 Spd vs Kswiss Ultrashot 3 vs Diadora Blueshield Torneo

I have same issue in Raptors. I bought from Lotto website and full size up (website says go up half a size). For first 2 days used these for walking tied up loose and no problems then. but laced up tight during match and problem started. Love the cushioning and energy return, but can't use these...

Has anyone actually worn out the tread on the new Barricade?

It lasts about 4 months for me. My average for shoe cushioning in last 4 years (GR7, GR8, Yonex PC3, Barricade 2018) has been 4 to 5 months. GR6, GR5, Barricade 2016 etc lasted 6+ months for me when I was slightly worse tennis player, but also 15 pounds lighter.

    The gut/poly thread

I have tried this (17g PLE with VS Touch/Klip Legend mains) and I liked it in 2020 Ezone racquets (plus and tour) because it made stringbed response crisper. But don't like it in my Dunlop CX200+, feels too boardy.

Cutting prince phantom 100g LB down to 27.5

I have not done this to Phantom LB, but did cut down PCG 100 LB (released in 2013) by half inch. It will reduce swingweight by 18-20 points. It's a big change from stock balance and weight. Maneuverability goes up significantly. After cutting down PCG LB it lost the torque/thump I was getting...

    CX 200 + users???

Same here. I prefer it over other extended racquets (2018/2021 PD+, 2018 PDT+, last 2 iterations of Ezone 98+, PK 7G, 2021 PK Q+5X pro and latest WhiteOut). I am right now mostly playing with Diablo MP, though CX200+ is always in the bag (I put 3 CX200+ on sale, but decided to hold on these)...

    New Solinco Racquets

I am looking to go down in weight and/or swingweight on my racquets due to shoulder niggle that just does not seem to go away. I like WhiteOut, but there is no reason to switch for me until I have CX200+ and PDT+. If I get WO XTD, I would end up adding leather grip to make it headlight and 1-2...

    New Solinco Racquets

I received demo of WhiteOut XTD last week, with plastic still on handle and with most likely same poly strings as seen in @curtstead pictures. I have mainly used Dunlop CX200+ over past 1.5 years with 2 grams at 12 and 6-8 grams in handle and have been using 2018 PDT+ (with 6 grams in handle)...

Anyone notice that Yonex rackets seem to play stiffer then the RA indicates ?

I have same thoughts as @Grafil Injection I have played with all ezones (from XI onwards) and AI was the most comfortable by some margin and was plush. I played with Ezone plus until last month and that one despite VDM feels as stiff as Dunlop CX 200+ that I have (I have both with same...

What’s a good string for a 3.5 Pure Drive flat hitter

I am using PDT plus (2018) with Full bed of Velocity 1.30 @52/55. 2018 PD launch angle is little higher than I like (higher than 2015 PD), hence tighter crosses. I like performance of this setup, enough spin and it gives optimum performance between 8-10 hrs. I am 4.0, flatter hitter. I am using...

    Best 98inch without customization

+1. I had 4 regular PS Gen3 (16*19) -- 2 in regular paint and 2 in France Paintjob, bought in 2 different orders. Weight and balance were very similar except for one which had little head heavy balance and more swingweight.

Played 2.5 hour over the weekend with Whiteout after restringing it with Velocity MLT 16 @52/55 and it reined in the ball launch I experienced with first stringjob. Prestige Mid to become the racquet of the 2020s.

I played for a month by extending it 3/8 inch and I did not even play at regular length. I appreciated serves the most because accuracy was much better compared to other factory extended racquets available for sale. Forehand was a wash for me but I struggled with my OHBH especially ones hit...
