I WOULD downsize with the APD. With an overgrip it should be good. And like Jack said above, you can always use a thicker overgrip if necessary.

In my experience, the Babolat original grips for the PD and the APD do run slightly bigger, but the original grips on the other Babolat racquets feel true to size - about the same as a Wilson grip (for me). What Babolat racquet are you considering?
