I am lifting the bar after clamping the string. I do the same thing with every string and syn guts are the only ones this has ever happened with. What happens is i'll do a few mains and then occasionally one will just "stick" and even when i lift the bar the gripper remains tight on the string

This is not so much an issue on crosses as mains but I find that on tensions above 65 my ratchet gets a little stuck on the synthetic gut and causes a bit of damage to the string when finished tensioning. Does anyone know why this is?

I find when i string two piece i waste less string and its also a little faster to go through mains. The difference is very minute. But I personally string all racquets two piece unless told otherwise.
