    60-65YO female wants poly

I suggest Ashaway Monogut ZX in the crosses. That allows you to use anything in the mains and the strings will snap back into a straight position. Best of all the ZX won't go dead or require frequent restringing like poly.

Where can I find the staple gun and staples for butt cap installation

You can damage the racquet when stapling. I use contact cement with good results.

Gamma clamps too long for other machines

You can cut them to the desired size fairly easily. The cleanest way is with a $16 pipe cutter. Very easy. Get one that says it will cut steel. A messy way is to use an angle grinder. Definitely mark around the area that needs cutting. You probably will need to use a file to smooth the edges...

    Courtjam Control cushioning

I have been enjoying the Addidas Court Jam Control more than I expected. I find them quite stable and comfortable. I like a wide toe box and these are as wide as the K-Swiss Hypercourt Express. Cushioning is less than the K-Swiss but my feet are not sore after playing. The insole is worthless...

Also....I'd like any info on how the Adidas CourtJam Control is for wider feet. Does this show have a wide toe box?

    Prince T22 Cushioning?

The T22 has a very nice cushiony, durable insole. The shoes themselves are heavy and clunky. When new, they hurt the side of my foot near the little toe. I keep wearing them because they have a slightly wider toe box and are quite stable. I don't have the courage to wear them every time I play.

    How to secure buttcap?

West System G/Flex epoxy will stick to a butt cap or racquet for repair purposes. For affixing a butt cap to a racquet I use contact cement. Smear contact cement inside the butt cap and on outside of handle area, let dry for 10-15 minutes, then force them together. The result is a strong bond...

Why hybrid poly mains with synethic/multi crosses?

Using Ashaway Mongut ZX as a cross will soften the feel and the ZX will not notch.

    HELP staples!!!

I have used contact cement on many butt caps without an issue. I believe rubber cement also works fine. I also wrap a little electrical tape around the end to help hold the butt cap in place. I would not use epoxy to glue the butt cap. Many epoxies do not work on plastics. West System G/Flex...

Extending a Head Pro Tour 2.0

The easiest way to extend the length by 1/2 inch is by replacing the butt cap with an XTP one. https://tennisbuttcap.com/ Directions are to heat to 155 degrees and use a little rubber cement. Don't overheat as they do melt - I am writing from experience. As poster WYK mentioned sometimes you...

List of monofilament polyamids and elastomer co-polys

I am fine with Babolat Origin being discontinued. The string was super comfortable but (for me) just no spin or control. I am disappointed TW stopped carrying Double AR 666. I love that string!! I use 666 in the mains with Ashaway Monogut ZX in the crosses. Very good spin and control for a...

    Tennis Tutor jr AC conversion

Go to the Amzn website and search for 12 volt 30 amp power supply. Plenty of choices. You need to decide whether to get a power supply for mounting inside the ball machine or for use outside.

Poly or Multi in the Crosses - for Durability?

I have strung several racquets with NRG in the mains and Ashaway Monogut ZX in the crosses. People have been very pleased with the results. Easy on the arm, durable, and strings stay in place.

    Percussion/Massage guns

I have a $200 percussion massage gun (Achedaway Pro) and a $40 shiatsu massager (Zyllion massage pillow ZMA-13-BK). The $40 massager feels nicer and is easier to use on more body parts. I just don't understand the interest in a percussion massager.

Eagnas 910 Combo Clamp Bases Slip

Racket guard tape (or alternatives) for just a small portion of the bumper

I put on a thin coating of West System 655 G/Flex two-part epoxy glue onto the bumper guard where needed. This is the thickened version of 650 G/Flex. The stuff sticks to the bumper and is a hard coating. Just add another coat when you scrape through.

Where can I get these part for an Eagnas machine?

Use a "star knob" from Amzon or local hardware store to use as the locking knobs. 6mm? Get hollow ones in case your top screw needs extra room. Use cap screws on top as the pins. 6mmx35mm? Hex head or mushroom head type. Use polypropylene as the plastic. Find scrap or buy a cheap polypro...

    Dealing with dry eye

MSM eye drops help me. You can buy a 1 or 2 oz bottle of the drops. I make my own using dropper bottles from MZon (1 or 2 oz size) and Kala Health MSM coarse flakes. That MSM has no additives. 1 oz water 1/2 tsp MSM sterilize everything. Best to use distilled water.

Where can I get these part for an Eagnas machine?

You can do everything via email with Eagnas. Send them an email with your machine picture, number of parts you want, and model of machine. They will get back to you with cost of part plus shipping. You then email back with credit card info along with name, address, etc. The process worked fine...

    Tacky overgrip

When I want a little more tackiness I rub onto the overgrip a slight amount of cross country ski grip (kick) wax. The waxes for warmer, wet snow are the sticky ones. Examples are Swix V60 purple and Swix V55 red. The Klister ones are especially sticky. Use lightly as the racquet can feel stuck...

Any idea on how to fix a broken drop weight tensioner lever?

Be careful when unscrewing that whole tensioner unit. Try to hold the pieces together. There is a clutch spring inside that is tricky to re-insert. Glue I would not trust gluing the beam. Once you unscrew the allen head tightening screw you could use your glue to glue a little stick to the...

    Shoulder Surgery

I would do the surgery if that was recommended. Usually surgery is not suggested for partial rotator cuff tears. Other posters here have mentioned that docs did not want to operate on a partial bicep tendon tear. If surgery not recommended I would look into PRP or other treatments to help heal...

Silent Partner value proposition (compared to others)

Stop overanalyzing and buy the Silent Partner. As I mentioned in another post, I have had both Tennis Tutor and Silent Partner. I preferred the Silent Partner. Bigger wheels, better hopper, better spin, higher speed, reliable.

    Lead or tungsten tape

I use lead tape because of the lower cost. I don't see a problem using lead unless you are eating the leftovers. :) Try using a little contact cement (glue) on the racket and lead-tungsten tape. This will ensure it sticks.

    Revisiting Monogut ZX

What tension do you use when stringing a multi like Tecnifibre NRG2 in the mains and Ashaway Monogut ZX in the crosses ?? Last time I did mains at 57# and ZX crosses at 53 in a Babolat Pure Aero racquet. The result seemed too stiff. I'm wondering if I should drop the ZX cross tension down to...

Thoughts on planned hybrid setup for newbie

You may be better off with a cheap syngut in the crosses instead of the NXT multi. You need the mains to slide on the crosses. A multi in the crosses will wear too quickly and impede the mains movement. I'd suggest the Wilson NXT in the mains and a Prince or Gosen syngut in the crosses.

String Recomendations for Pure Aero Tour

Why no love for a multi string? Seems a perfect time to use multi: you have a person who has a stiff racquet, who has had shoulder issues, who rarely changes his strings, and who doesn't hit hard with spin ("counter puncher"). Try Tecnifibre NRG2 or similar multi. I like NRG2 with a cross of...
