Intermittent rattle in new Ai98: should I care?

it's probably just drill flash. you can remove it by removing the butt cap or taking off the grommets and shaking your racquet around

    New Prince racquets

wow, the tour 100 18/20 has a 24-26-22 mm beam. weird. hope that's a mistake

    Customizing Wilson Blade 98

the only way to make your racquet more headlight is to add weight to the handle. while adding weight anywhere on the racquet is technically going to increase the swing weight, adding it towards the end near the butt cap will have a marginal effect. your only other options are to trim your bumper...

    2014 Wilson Prostaff 90

i think it would look ok if they had done something different at the 3 and 9 positions. not digging the stripes

oh you're right, i'm an idiot. thanks for the heads up

21st anniversary...is this the so called "mid-year" sale event?

i doubt they will have a 21st anniversary sale as they had a big 20th anniversary sale just last year.

2 of same racquet weight/balance inconsistency. Frame or strings?

it's difficult to know for sure without knowing the specs of either of your speeds. It could definitely be an issue of quality control. Also, in my experience, poly is noticeably heavier than multifilaments or synthetic gut and I can definitely feel a difference in swing weight and balance...

what company is the best in the "quality of painting"?

i'm not sure about their other lines, but according to many posters on this board, the yonex vcore line has had terrible quality paint jobs as far as chipping goes. Used to play with the rdis 100 mp and i had some issues with chipping on those racquets as well. anyone know if they fixed this...

    Dunlop M200 Classic

i'm also interested to know about this. as well as the 300 and 300 tour classics. i heard the 100 classic is europe only. i'm hoping this isn't the case with the rest of the line

Balance Discrepancy on TW For Fischer M Comp 95 (330gm)

6 pts headlight sounds correct. a 340 gram racquet that is 3-4 pts head heavy wouldn't have a swing weight of 321. also keep in mind that the published specs on TW's product pages are an average of several racquets. the specs found on the power zone page, i believe, show specs for a single racquet.

    Heavier racquet=soreness

10.6 oz isn't very heavy. give it a little time, see how it feels after your body acclimates itself. After long lay offs from tennis, the first time i hit, i'm always a bit sore. same with lifting weights. but after a few sessions i feel fine. you should be fine. maybe do some exercises for...

    Poly string is heavier?

in my experience, poly is definitely heavier. was using rip control for a while, but as i started to play more, the durability went down so i started trying out different polys in hybrids and full beds. racquets swung noticeably heavier with full poly. don't know what the difference in weight...

Discrepancies between TW and Manufacture Specs?

If you know the specs of the racquet you already own, then you can call them up and ask them to send you another one as close to those specs as possible for a $10 flat fee. You don't have to buy both at the same time

Discrepancies between TW and Manufacture Specs?

There really isn't a "right" set of specs. There are the manufacturer's specs, which is what the racquets are supposed to come out to but that rarely is the case, except maybe with yonex frames. TW's published specs are an average measurement of several racquets they measure in house...

why is my 330x swining so much harder than my tf325vo2

distribution of weight. the 330x may be tip-heavy. also, the specs on TW are an average of several racquets and are not necessarily indicative of your personal racquet's weight, balance and swing weight or the manufacturer's for that matter. odds are, your racquet's specs, and the posted specs...

    Volkl C10 Pro's flex

i'm fairly certain flex is measured at the throat and only at the throat. and the c10 pro is said to have a very flexy hoop, which is probably why it plays softer than the 63 ra measurement

Who makes the best 'quality' sticks?

actually, only a few of Pacific's racquet models comes with the zero tolerance guarantee. and their zero tolerance guarantee seems to only cover static weight, not balance or swing weight (although i could be wrong). so it's possible that you may get 2 racquets that weigh the same, but don't...

Who makes the best 'quality' sticks?

yonex, angell/vantage, dunlop. as far as quality control, yonex hands down

i've thought about this a little bit as well. maybe a lot of the weight is focused at the tip of the racquet?

    Yonex and matching rackets

i would use their $10 racquet matching service and ask for 2 sticks that are as close in spec to each other as possible with regard to static weight, swing weight and balance. yonex qc is so good that you are pretty much guaranteed to get 2 matching sticks. and if you want to customize them...

    PT57E Verification

don't all off-the-shelf head frames have codes on the hairpin under the pallets? so those codes aren't necessarily indicative of them being pro stock frames.
  28. eleventeenth street

    PT57e intelligence real or not?

i'm fairly certain that retail head frames have codes under the pallet as well. not just pro stock frames.
