    My Tennis Ball Pressurizers

I use them now and then and fresh out of the can they don't have such great bounce but they do accept air when pressurized. I noticed that they are good once pressurized. So I have good experience with them once pumped up in the pressurizer.

I don't know but I just thought the longer the more sure it will bounce well. I'll see how it goes.

    My Tennis Ball Pressurizers

Right now I have one of my water filter pressurizers set at 34. I had put in two Penn Champion balls we just used once, you know opened the can and used them then I put a Wilson to make a three ball set. One of the Penns was hit over the fence into the brush and we couldn't find it, that is...

    My Tennis Ball Pressurizers

Went to Costco to try to fill my water filter ball pressurizer with nitrogen at the self service tire inflation kiosk. It didn't work. I set the pressure for 34 and attached the "chuck" to the inflation valve but the compressor didn't kick on. So it was no bueno and I went home to inflate it...

    My Tennis Ball Pressurizers

No, I was not aware of this method. Great idea. Thanks for the hack. I don't quite understand how to do it. Can you please give me step by step instructions how to do this? Thanks!

    My Tennis Ball Pressurizers

For my water filter pressurizers I put in about 38 and it seems to work. It still takes two weeks. My Korny Keg I don't use much but 38 to 40 also is the way to go. I still want to try Nitrogen in mine.

    My Tennis Ball Pressurizers

Good point. So if I use the balls three times by using the initial opening, then pump them up two times I get to use them at 60 cents per ball or $1.80 per can if you look at it as a can after each use. Then if the felt is bad after the third use, at least I paid only $1.80 per can.

Thanks. Now that you mention it that sounds right what you say.

    My Tennis Ball Pressurizers

At Costco they have air filling stations for you to pump up your tires. My understanding is they use CO2. I may bring my water filter pressurizer and try to see if I can fill it with CO2. I am a Costco member and spend tons of money there, buy tires there also, so I think filling my tennis...

    My Tennis Ball Pressurizers

You are correct, once the felt is worn off the balls are no good. $3 plus take I can afford but I suppose if I can get more life out of a ball, say the initial use and pump them up 2 more times then the $3.30 balls cost $1.10. I think the felt is good for two times in the pressurizer. So...

    My Tennis Ball Pressurizers

I never tried CO2 but from what I heard is that CO2 pressurizes the balls in a shorter amount of time.

    My Tennis Ball Pressurizers

I don't have this kind but some people use this kind but to pressurize the Corny Keg it will be sort of slow but who needs to go fast anyway? Then when not in use keep in your car in case you need to use it while out driving -

    My Tennis Ball Pressurizers

This may be overkill but I use a 6 gallon air compressor to fill the ball pressurizers. I use it to pump up my tires. Is fast and works well. Something like this -

    My Tennis Ball Pressurizers

Who else here is going to make a ball pressurizer? Which one? Corny Keg or Water Filter Housing?

    My Tennis Ball Pressurizers

I believe so. If you use a can of balls initially and re-pressurize them say 3 times then you are buying a can once and not buying three times more because you are reusing them and they are pumped up enough to use. Then over time the pressurizer is paid for and in the future it doesn't cost a...

    My Tennis Ball Pressurizers

I saw somewhere on either TT or some other place where someone did get one of those "tennis ball saver" cans and did modify it to have a valve to pump it up and a pressure gauge. That is something to consider. Food for thought.

You can get a refurbished one here. I think he also sells all the parts to make a ball pressurizer also. I don't see it on his site but I think I saw this on Facebook. https://cornykeg.com/

    My Tennis Ball Pressurizers

One of the kegs is a pin lock and one a ball lock. The one in the video I think is a different maker than a Corny Keg and has a weird nonstandard threading as you mentioned. If you get a real Corny Keg brand threading is normal and I had no problem buying Lowe's and Home Depot parts and the...

    My Tennis Ball Pressurizers

Those pressurize only up to 14 PSI the amount tennis balls in unopened tennis ball cans are pressurized at. I had these twice and they do nothing. When tennis balls are made I think they are pressurized to about 24 PSI and then placed in the can at 14 PSI. You need to make a ball pressurizer...

    My Tennis Ball Pressurizers

It's more economical to have a beer corny keg pressurizer if you have a lot of tennis balls BUT it's more practical if you play once a week with three tennis balls per session to have water filter pressurizers. For a few balls the corny keg is overkill if you ask me.

    My Tennis Ball Pressurizers

Make sure you get one with a wrench which wraps around the housing so you can open it easier than with your bare hands. Also get one with a release valve button so you can let the air out before opening it for safety reasons. Here is one that fits the bill but the ports are 3/4 inch but you...

    My Tennis Ball Pressurizers

I'll just give details on how to make this. You can get a clear or an opaque water filter housing. Advantage of clear is you can see if your balls (no pun, LOL) are week and collapse under pressure. Get a housing such as this. This is opaque but you may get a clear one if you prefer -...

Post # 5 I can see the image of the water filter housing pressurizer. I need to know, do you want more photos or do you want detail on how to make one?

    My Tennis Ball Pressurizers

I agree, it's worth it to buy a pre-made one. If one builds one then great but if one buys one made already then great too. Saves you the headache of buying many separate parts and things going wrong.
