More spin: MSV Focus Hex vs PS Blue Gear

Hex is better for spin. The "gears" will wear off BG and you end getting less spin. BG 17 has more spin than 16. Keep in mind that BG is very stiff while Hex lacks feel.

What do you think of this laptop?

It's definitely on the low end of the spectrum and looks underpowered for any video production. A Nvidia or ATI GPU will help speedup video compression. Have a look at the Dell outlet store to see what they have. http://www.dell.com/content/topics/segtopic.aspx/newarb?c=us&cs=22&l=en&s=dfh

AeroPro Drive Cortex Vs MG Extreme

Fwiw, I'm switching from apdc to mg-ep. here's a quick comparison of both from my pt of view: both are similar in power and spin ep is more comfortable and has a bigger sweetspot (and is lower in price) ep dislikes: looks funny with its lollipop shape and handle shape is more...

Aero pro drive cortex - comfort?

In the quest for more power and spin, I am now using APDC in place of my previous nBlade racquets. As you may know, nBlades are very easy on the arms, very flexible and low on power. I have not had any problems with TE using the APDC but must warn you to be careful with the string setup. I...

    Nikon D90 Digital SLR Camera

lots of reviews on the web including dpreview and cameralabs. i would check out the new nikon d5000 and canon t1i before making a decision. the new canon is very feature packed for the price with higher res and better video support while the d5000 is a little slower for burst but comes with...

Microgel Radical MP VS Microgel Rad. Pro

NG, if I can translate I think what you are saying is: 1. because you are a heavy topspin player who tends to break string frequently, you prefer the tight 18x20 string pattern of the radical mp as opposed to the open string pattern of the radial pro (which gives you more spin). however if...

You're having a bad day stringing when....

ok here's one that hasn't been posted yet. you string your nblade os and can't figure out why there are big gaps in the upper and lower crosses. you look up the string pattern and realize you used nblade 98npattern (skip 8m & 10m instead of 9m).

    Lead Setup Reccomendations for APDC!

babolat racquets are just like most of the head racquets, just pop the butt cap off, stick the lead tape inside the handle and snap the butt cap back on.

    Lead Setup Reccomendations for APDC!

Wow, that must be one heck of a head heavy and high swingweight setup. Assuming that the tape density is 1 gram/inch, your swingweight is over 400 and the weight is about 350g. here's a link to a swingweight calculator http://www.racquettech.com/store/learningcenter/lc_swingweight.html

Is a Six Pack big enough for...

yes, if you get one of the larger 6 packs; make sure it has a side compartment or 2 which make it easy to find things. i have a babolat aero 6 pack and carry the following: - 2 racquets - 1 pair of shoes - 1 set of warmups - 2 sets of clothing (shorts, shirts, socks, underwear & socks) -...

Wow, Big ace gave me trouble!

Imho, big ace is one of the easier polys to string because it is relatively soft for a poly. Stiffer polys like pht or cyberflash are much harder to string, harder on the fingers and easier to snap when knotting. If you are trouble with blocked holes, try cutting the string at a sharp...

    MSV Focus HEX!!

to answer your questions: What tension did you string? - 55#m / 53#x gauge? - 17g Hybrid? - no how long did you have them till they broke? - for me, strings broke in approx 4mos playing 5hrs/week - 2 racquets; they seen to last about the same as hurricane tour but have better tension...

    MSV Focus HEX!!

my feedback on msv hex: likes - good spin - good tension maintenance - reasonable power for a poly - low price - comfortable and arm friendly dislikes - feel or lack thereof, impact is dull and there is no feedback - little if any warning or wear before the string breaks

question about adding weight in the handle

That's the hard way to add weight to a head racquet. the easy way is to use a slothead screwdriver to remove the black buttcap. use fishing weight wrapped inside cotton gauze and duct tape to hold the weight in place and stop the rattling.

For those of you using hybrid strings, please read

it depends on your racquet. if you have a mid or oversized stick with 18 main strings, you will need about 21 feet for the mains. not to worry though as you still cut to 20 feet and use a reef knot to extend the poly mains

Man. Hybrid Stringing on OS racket is a pain.

Dan, here's a thread that i answered earlier. http://tt.tennis-warehouse.com/showthread.php?t=177367&highlight=extend+string because of it's 18x19 string pattern, the radical needs more string for the mains, around 21 feet. to use pre-packaged string in hybrid setup, you will need cut the...

    whats the best natural gut???

klip armour pro is very stiff for a gut string; i like vs touch (and vs team much better). since you're using gut in a hybrid setups, i would try tonic. it's much cheaper and feel almost the same as touch when used in a hybrid.

    First Time Stringing Natural Gut

other tips 1. do not use an awl to widen the grommet as you run the risk of damaging the string (and causing it to snap). widen the hole for the cross tie-off before you start stringing or use lip balm as a lubricant. 2. make sure your grommets are in good shape as damaged one can cause...

Racket change to relieve arm pain?

you forgot to add string type to your list. stick with a multi-filament or natural gut string to minimize vibration. in general, you should look at the following characteristics: mid-weight; low swingweight; soft flex; headlight balance; mid-size head. here's a list of rackets you may want...

Difference between the FXP Radical Team and Microgel Radical Team?

i have played with both sticks and currently using the mg rad team (mgrt). the mgrt feels a lot more solid or stiffer than the fxp version but i find both to be too light and have the wrong blance for my liking. i like the mgrt better than the mg rad mid-plus because of its 16x19 string...
