Interesting. How can this be considering the 14.9 reported TW in the tennis warehouse database?

    Matching Racquets: Balance or Weight?

I got them measured by tennis warehouse matching service so I can’t measure it myself. But the customization tool should be sufficient? I’m just worried about the width placement of the weight. If the twist weight and the maneuverability will be different. Like should I place all of the mass...

    Matching Racquets: Balance or Weight?

SW is 284 on the lighter one and 292 on the heavier ones. So I believe it will be fine adding 3 g either at 12 or 2/10. The question is if the feel, solidness, TW will be the same? I would assume that the 3 extra grams are evenly distributed on the heavier one. But maybe neglectable?

    Matching Racquets: Balance or Weight?

Hi all. Hope you can help me here. I need to add 3 g at the top of the hoop to one of my rackets to get the sw and balance and weight right. Should I add all of it right at 12? Or should o spread the strip as good as I can across the top of the frame? Or could I place it at 2/10 or would that...

How does the head size width (from 3 to 9) of TC97/react99 compare to the width of TC100/TC101? When comparing for example the blade 98 to blade 100 the head gets wider. But when I compare tc97 to react99, the head gets “longer” rather than wider. Is the tc100 also longer? I’m looking for a...

The are one or two mentions in this thread. Then I’ve seen some on YouTube, such as I have the TC97 and I found that quite unforgiving despite the foam filling. This one is already too heavy so I can’t add any lead. I also have the react MPP and found that more forgiving, even though they...

From what I have found, the twist weight is low on all of Angell's models. Does this make their sweet spot small? I haven't seen any issues with it being too small, but the sweet spot and twist weight sounds a bit contradictive as far as my knowledge goes. Any input on this? Do they need lead at...

    Wilson x RF Aug 8, 2024

Does anyone know roughly how much the RF leather grips weighs? Similar to the regular Wilson leather grip or more?

I ordered my seconds React and it came in at 294 SW. Me first one came in at 291 but i added 1.5 g on each side of 3 and 9, a total addition of 3 g. How would you match the racquets in the best way? I want the stability of 3 and 9. Should I add 2 g instead of 3 g on the second racquet and feel...

I've been playing some more with my React MPP and what really stands out is how fast but solid it is at the net. I'm plying volleys like never before. All kinds of volleys - drop shot volleys, put away volleys and normal volleys. I added 1 g lead on each side of 3 and 9, as well as a leather...

Not sure what to answer, but I would say somewhere in between. Someone who wants a bit more of a forgiving racquet without loosing too much control, which can be the case with 100" 16x19 racquets. I used Gravity Pro 2 years ago. The React MPP maybe reminds me a bit of that in terms of spin and...

I've added 2 g at 3' and 9', 1 g on each side, to get even more stability for my off centre hits and to get some more SW without polarizing it too much. That makes my strung SW 323, weight 326 g and balance 32.5 cm without overgrip. Still feels much more whippy than the TC97, which is what I...

18x19 yes. I think it’s easier to generate a spin motion because of the whippiness, making it easier to generate spin. But if we talk about free spin I’m not sure. Maybe slightly less on React.

Solely to get a bigger sweet spot. I tend to have quite a few off center hits.

I’ve played an hour with my react MPP, 305/31.5/291. Customized with Wilson leather grip, adding 2 g when I remove the grip rubber. Comparing it to my TC97 16x19 310/31.5/303, which I’m considering to give up to get a less swing heavy and more maneuverable: - Much more whippy, giving more...

True. But then I would actually guess that it’s a matter of manufacturing variation/deviation, causing variation in SW, which they use as a way to “customize“ the SW for us. Simply selecting a frame that has the wanted SW.

315/310 has to have a higher SW than 305/310. Both available in the custom react. What’s the spec of this one?

I’m gonna guess it’s related to my quoted reflection here. The swingweight isn’t consistent with the different weights/balances.

Can it be true that both Mid Pro and MP pro have 288 SW. Even though they have weight/balances of 315/310 and 305/315. Sounds like Mid Pro should have a heavier SW.

I guess it’s a matter of definition. But I only see 6 strings going through the throat opening. Does seem to be tight nonetheless.

Isn't it a bit weird that in the React 18x19, even though it's 18 mains, there's only 6 in the throat?

I would guess you get the same swing weight. And that you would get the same result by adding 5 g to the handle on your current racquet. But you might want a second opinion on that.
