    Federer's retirement imminent?

I thought this poster was banned years back

Challenge: Design the WORST tennis player you can from current pros

well at least I know Volandri's not in the top 50... and yes I was unsure about the serve because I indeed don't know a lot about most of the players ranked past 26. as an aside karlovic's forehand is actually quite inconsistent, i'm surprised nobody has mentioned his forehand instead of...

Which Pro would you most want to have a beer with?

I've heard that Federer is actually one of the nicest guys on tour, and I've always been a big fan of him. So him.

Challenge: construct a great player from the shots/attributes of 2nd tier players

Santiago Giraldo's returns are absurd. Will never understand why more guys don't just go for broke more often on serves. A lot of guys seem to do it the first point when they're up 40-0 or 40-15 break points (Karlovic just did it against Fed today to break), and of course we all remember...

How many points could you win off of Roger Federer?

Maybe Raonic looks one-dimensional to you, but I guarantee you he moves better and is more consistent than just about any of those "great players" you speak of. It's like if you watch basketball, some of the bench guys seem like scrubs who can do nothing but I guarantee they would run any pickup...

    Roger Federer and Serena Williams

In every metric other than # of Slam wins, Roger has outperformed Nadal.

Challenge: Design the WORST tennis player you can from current pros

Sorry I meant current top 50 (so no Rochus). I like how you split Health into knees/back/wrist lol

    2014 Swiss Indoor Basel ATP500

Personally I really enjoy watching him play. Although his ground game is flat out ugly now that he's 35+ and can barely jog, his serve is a thing of beauty.

Challenge: Design the WORST tennis player you can from current pros

Only allowed to use attributes from top 50 pros. I'll start: 1st serve: David Ferrer? 2nd serve: ...David Ferrer? Forehand: Unsure Backhand: Ivo Karlovic Volleys: Unsure Footwork: Ivo Karlovic Stamina: Unsure Mental: Gael Monfils Health (sorry, Rafa): Rafael Nadal Also what rating you think...

Why Karlovic and Isner serve are a better server than Sampras

Also if anyone still disagrees that Dr. Ivo's 1st serve is the best ever, I invite you to watch a full replay of his match today in Basel (no spoilers, it's not even ended yet)

Why Dimitrov will never reach world number 1

He should hit top 5. Remember, Ferrer and Wawrinka have both been #3, and both are exceptional players but not all-time greats. I can also see #2. I just don't think he's got the talent to be #1.

How many points could you win off of Roger Federer?

Assuming he is trying to win every single point, anyone who doesn't say 0 is delusional. He's not going to double fault against you because he's not going to need to go for that much on second serves. I think the best strategy is actually to aim for the net poles every time if a ball is still...

    Rafa's Last RG?

I think he'll win all of them up to 2016, maybe with another slam thrown in, and 2017 RG will be his last major appearance when a 33-year-old Soderling beats him in the 4th round

Kyrgios, Coric, Zverev, Kokkinakis et al.: the soon-to-be future stars of tennis.

Why isn't Cilic included in the "current young guns?" Also, Thiem is there twice.

Why Karlovic and Isner serve are a better server than Sampras

Ivo undoubtedly has the best 1st serve out of anyone. Isner's 2nd serve is much better however, but I don't know enough to say it's the best of all time. I think it is as I can't think of any better. This is about SERVE alone not service game (rest of the points) of course.

Nick Kyrgios - Rafael Nadal Highlights?

Anyone know where I could watch a longer highlights video (i.e. more than 1 minute) of Kyrgios-Nadal? Or preferably even the full match?

    Gasquet's Backhand or Federer's Backhand?

I voted Gasquet but I'd actually say it's a wash. When you factor in Fed's BH slice which is probably the best in the world that more than makes up for any differences in their BH drive.

    Roger Federer - Valencia Open

Why doesn't Fed ever play this tournament? It's an ATP 500 on indoor hard courts, which is Fed's best setting. Does it conflict with something else?

Year-end is pretty irrelevant compared to weeks.

Murray accomplished something none of the other top 4 achieved

A weaker era huh? Then why is it that 31 year old Fed still dominated 25 year old Djokovic and Murray at Wimbledon?

Novak actually won more games than Murray in USO 2012 finals

What do you mean they "shouldn't" list the scores? Why is it wrong to provide more information?

That's a cool stat. And yes, this year was one of the most fun years to watch tennis. Who says this era is weak?
