Prince Precision Spectre - Can anybody tell me about this racquet?

I have a 110 version. Fairly thin, blue frame. It seems to have been sold outside the U.S. but that's just a guess. Can anybody add some more details about it like where it was sold, flex, balance, etc.? Is it possibly a rebrand of a frame that was sold in the U.S.? Thanks in advance.

    Mizuno Reactor Pro

Just bought one of these in great condition. Found a couple of threads on the Mizuno Reactor, but nothing on the Pro model. Anyone have any info on this frame? It has a staggered stringing pattern similar to the one offered by Prince back in the day.

    Estusa ProLegend Classic Lite

Just picked this one up. Looks like a lightweight copy of the Wilson Pro Staff 6.1 Classic with a 22 mm straight beam. However it has an 18 x 20 string pattern and only weighs 11.2 oz strung. Anyone have the specs or info on it? -k-

    Yonex NSRQ-7 100 Tour specs

Recently acquired this racquet out of Japan. It basically the US NSRQ-7 100, but only 27 inches long and 1/2 oz heavier. Has the same balance. Is the flex the same as it's 27.5 inch brother or is it different? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

    Dunlop Revelation MP OS racquet

Just picked this one up. Its called the Revelation MP, but its an OS. 27 inches, 9.9 oz strung, 26-23 taper, 18x20 stringing. Very head heavy. Can't find any info on this one. Any data would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Dunlop Revelation Tour Superlong +1.00 OS specs

Interesting data on those 2 OSes. The Dunlop has a 24-21 mm taper tip to throat and a 18x20 pattern. So I can see how it could be very flexible when measured at the throat. Guess I'll string it up and see how it hits.

Dunlop Revelation Tour Superlong +1.00 OS specs

Just got one of these in very nice condition. It is 28 inches long with a 110 head. USRSA specs list it at 312 g (11 oz) with a swingweight of 327 and a 5 pts HL balance. But then they show a flex rating of 50. 50? For a 100% graphite racquet? This is at the absolute bottom end of stiffness...

Spalding "The Professional" - Any info?

When I look at photos of the Taxi, it has the exact same checkerboard stenciling as the "The Professional" I have. Right down to the "Pro Response Series - It begins where you can't see it" and "Tri-Level Shock Suppression with Sensathane". Only difference is the Taxi is a 90 sq in. head, is...

Spalding "The Professional" - Any info?

I'm recovering from Achilles Tendon rupture surgery, so still a few months from returning to the court. Plus it looks brand new, doubt it was ever used. So I might leave it in its pristine state. But probably not. :)

Spalding "The Professional" - Any info?

Been away from these forums a long time. Just acquired a mint vintage racquet. It's a Spalding "The Professional". Has an 85 head, 21 mm frame, weighs 336 grams (11.85 oz), and is balanced 6 point HL. White paint with red and black accents. Made in Taiwan. Interestingly no specs other than...

    Wilson Profile 3.6 si 95

Picked up a like new Wilson Profile 3.6si 95 recently. I play 18x20 frames (mostly Volkls) and was surprised to see the Profile had a dense 18x20 pattern. This one weighs in at 12.6 oz and is balanced 10 points HL. The frame is an amazing 24-32-27mm dual taper and its built like a tank. I've...

    Volkl Quantum 10 Tour replacement?

Absolutely love the comfort, control and power of this frame. I've tried the DNX 10, but found it a bit tinny and stiff. Anyone have a suggestion for a comparable, more modern 18 x 20 frame? FYI, I string it fairly low with 18 gauge poly on the mains at 50 and Gosen SM 17 at 47 on the...

Grommet question concerning Wilson 18x20 frames

Just picked up a badly abused Wilson Hyper Pro Staff 6.1 Stretch MP. Has an 18x20 pattern and a 22mm frame. Given that Wilson hasn't tinkered much with the PS Classic frame lineage, can I replace the grommet set on this frame with a newer one from say a K Factor KSix-One 95 (18x20)? -k-

Best items you found at thrift stores (Goodwill)?

I've got over 200 classics. Never paid more than $5 for them. All came from Goodwill, other thrift stores or yard sales. Best of the best were a St. Vincent Pro Staff 85 for $1, a Donnay Borg Pro for $2 and a mint Kniessl White Star Twin for $3. -k-

    Dunlop Black Max Pro

This one is new to me. Its a Black Max Pro. Same head size and straight 19mm frame as the standard Black Max. Says its constructed of Boron and Graphite. Has "Masters Series" in a very fancy gold cursive script on the side of the throat just above the handle. Was this a limited run frame...

    One of Prince's Greatest achievements

Prince has delivered us some wonderful frames over the years. When all is said and done their Turbo Shark MP Longbody may be one (if not the best) of the bunch. A blatant Roddick Pure Drive clone, but one that incorporates Prince's phenomenal Sweetspot Suspension (the TT Hornet's killer...

Yeah, you guys were right, serve and volley doesn't work in modern tennis

Stakhovsky showed that if you have a clear game plan, stick to it and have nothing to lose, you can pull off the upset at Wimbledon since no one has much grass practice prior. He played with absolutely no fear. So what if he S&V'ed and lost? He was suppose to lose anyway. Brilliant...

Complete Quad Tendon tear - A chronicle

Was 2 points from closing out a match when I sprinted from the baseline to the net. Planted my right foot to stop and set for a volley and my knee disintegrated. Looked like it went in 2 different directions simultaneously. After roughly 30 seconds of excruciating pain, my knee cap popped back...

    pro kennex q5

The Kinetic frames can really help with TE, if your TE is the result of year's of continuous pounding from tennis and the like. In this case you might see a marked improvement. If the TE arose from bad technique and you don't change, not so much. I always encourage PK newbies to buy a used 5...

    Best serve and volley racket

I'll add the Pro Kennex 5g to this excellent list. Probably two of the all time best were the original Pro Staff 85 and its follow up, the PS Classic.

    Best serve and volley racket

You need mass to handle hard hit passing shots and quick maneuverability to get to them quickly. So anything with a weight greater than 11.5 oz (326 grams) brings the mass and 8 pts or more head light with a thin beam (22mm or less) brings the maneuverability. Ultra stiff strings kill the...

I love the most random frame - Pro Kennex Kinetic Pro 7g

    Could Young beat Serena?

Lets be honest. Serena has bigger balls than Young. Nothing intimidates her. Young has the physical advantage of being male. I give the mental edge to Serena and we all know that its mental at the top of tennis. -k-

If You Go the Thrift Store Route.......

Have to agree with the opinion that the thrift stores reflect the local demographics. I'm in the greater Atlanta area, which has had a huge tennis playing population for over 40 years. So there are always amazing finds at local thrifts. I have built a collection of over 200 frames that...
