    Sampras/Agassi vs the Big 3 - matchups

I remember Agassi's account of one of his late-career matches against Federer. He explains that he is overwhelmed by Federer's level of play, and this doesn't seem to have anything to do with the fact that he himself is at the end of his career. Rather, he seems to be realizing that he's up...

[Poll] Do you like Jannik Sinner?

I don’t like him much. He's a sort of Djokovic reloaded. He plays very well, but his game doesn't make me dream. He joins the long list of players who make me think that tennis has become boring. And then I don't know what to make of this dodgy story about doping or contamination.

    ProStaff 365g for junior

I was joking. This racket is far too heavy. Of course, it's still possible to play with it, as well as with an 85 or 90 headsize. Everything is possible. But especially for a young player, you have to bear in mind that tennis has changed. Honestly, I'm still not sure how serious your question is.

    ProStaff 365g for junior

From what I read here and there, he should be fine, but he'll probably have to add lead tape in the hoop unless he wants to hit like all those wimps who use granny sticks they call modern rackets.

Still searching for THE racquet. :(

As many people I tend tu suggest my favorite racquets although more options are available: - Prince Tour 100p or maybe one of the other Tour 100. You seem to be more a 98 kind of player so you may also be interested by the 98. I found the 98 not very different than the 100p anyway. - TFight 305...

Poly to multi switch. What tension?

As a HyperG soft user (a string that is just a tad softer than Hyper G) I was not convinced by Triax. Not only it’s expensive, but I did not find it really more comfortable than HyperG soft and it was less durable (snapped after like 5 hours). Clearly 56lbs seems way to high for poly. Anyway...

Thin Poly with long lasting playability

HyperG soft 17 or maybe 18G

Giovanni the Giant: 6"8 guy with one handed backhand is making having a breakout year!

His serve is already exceptional and he seems far less limited than Isner or let's not talk about Karlovic. His forehand is powerful and he has an excellent volley. Despite his size, he looks pretty mobile to me. He also seems friendly and humble, and shows a good mentality. Some people find it...

Should Djokovic play the QF or quit before if injured ?

This is the thousandth time we've heard this kind of thing about Djokovic before an important match. That doesn't usually stop him from winning the match and the tournament.

Which Babolat racket would be between a Pure Strike 98 and a Pure Drive, is it the Pure Strike 100 ?

The difference will likely be minimal at best, so I would not bother too much about this. Demoing would be the way to go but anyway all are solid choices with subtle differences. Actually spec variation within a given model may be as important as theoretical differences between these models…

As a fan, what were the worst losses that you felt?

    3. is my worst tennis fan experience in more than 35 years. Still painful.

The players whom you think will never win a Slam

My predictions were not very good, I must admit ;) Being cautious, I'd bet more on Zverev than Tsitsipas for the future. I don’t understand why FAA is not doing better. His game was solid, he seemed mentally not bad and he hired Uncle Toni.

    1ga has re-signed with Tecnifibre.

That would be an off spec retail frame Unfortunately it’s definitely something that happens sometimes considering the QC margin tolerance

    Powerful 18x20 racquets?

If you can handle the SW, TFight 305 would be a great pick. It’s extremely powerful. It’s not exactly 18x20 but 18x19 but it’s still a close pattern. Edit: sorry, reading your initial post I understand you want something on the « easy » side. The TFight 305 is not exactly that because the SW is...

Tennis Warehouse Playtest: Prince ATS Textreme Tour Family

IMO these Tours feel very comfortable but not particularly soft. I mean they do not feel stiff at all but my T100p do not feel as soft as some other racquets with a RA around 60. Maybe because the beam is still 23mm? I had the same feeling with the 98 which I found relatively close. Anyway I...

Let's create a list of the Top Favorite Poly Strings

I care mostly about comfort and tension maintenance. My favorite is HyperG Soft 17 or 18G (on a 18x20 racquet). Honorable mention: Tier one Black knight.

Hey, Has anyone tried The Prostrap?

Looks interesting though I’m not sure to exactly figure out how it works. Is it mostly a forehand training tool or is it also helpful for the backhand? What about the OHBH. That would be great if you could elaborate on your experience with that Prostrap. Anyway thanks for drawing my attention on...

    Prince Official - Racquets

Flex is not all about the RA value. I have never been a fan of noodlish racquets. My Tour 100p ATS are very comfortable and feel somewhat soft. However they do not feel as soft (I could say noodlish) like some old school racquets with a RA around 60 too. I guess it also has to do with beam...

Accepting that you cannot use poly strings

Honestly, I was a bit disappointed by the level of comfort of Triax. Actually I did not find it really more comfortable than HyperG soft in a H2H comparison. One of my racquet was strung with HyperG Soft and the other one with Triax, though I must acknowledge the Triax was strung at a slightly...

Accepting that you cannot use poly strings

I don't think my post is off topic. It's a thought I had for a moment about trying something other than a poly like several others who share their experiences here. I thought they might be interested, but if not sorry! My goal is not to push anything, just to share my experience and know yours.

Accepting that you cannot use poly strings

In my hands Triax started to fray extremely quickly and broke after 5 hours. Did you have the same experience ? I wanted to like Triax but I really couldn’t see any advantage to this string over the HyperG Soft.

Accepting that you cannot use poly strings

Hey guys, 46yo here. I attach a lot of importance to comfort (perhaps more than anything else now ) and after a lot of testing, I'm very happy with HyperG Soft (17 or 18 G at 46-48 lbs). I'd suggest that anyone hesitating to leave the poly world try this.

    Agressive baseliner recommendations, please!

    - PA98 stiffer / crisper than the 2 others, a bit whippier and more powerful than EZ98 - EZ98 softer feel than PA98, quite comfortable, well balanced in terms of power and control Both EZ98 and PA98 are spinny and well balanced. Both are great options and may suit a lot intermediates and...
