Anyone compared Velocity to Reflex mains as Hybrid with Cream, or any poly cross?

Thanks esgee48, what I'm really wondering is if you or someone has experience with whether reflex is as slippery as velocity and would consequently snapback as well (when used as mains against poly cross). I would like to have the extra power of reflex versus velocity but don't want to sacrifice...

Anyone compared Velocity to Reflex mains as Hybrid with Cream, or any poly cross?

Love VS Gut / Cream hybrid but pricey... Have used Velocity (mains) with Cream many times and find Velocity provides a good slick surface for Cream (or any poly) to slide on and get good snapback. Was wondering if anyone has tried Reflex mains with poly crosses and if so whether it seemed more...

Multi-lovers Question: Need a very soft, by NOT too lively MULTIFILAMENT string...

Hi all, Can someone recommend what they feel is a soft, but NOT very lively MULTIFILAMENT string? (And I mean NO solid core(s) at all). I've tried most popular, soft muti's, so am familiar with many of them (in different frames). (You Poly / Hybrid lovers don't need to read any...

Navratilova criticizes lack of racket regulation

Four realistic changes to help solve the problem... Having been a tennis equipment enthusiast for 45 years now, and a USPTA head pro for 30 years, here's my opinion (and I'm glad to see we all won't let this topic die): It would be relatively simple, I think, to make the game more equitable...

Sunglasses - Has anyone tried the Bolle Photo V3 Golf lens for tennis?

Just curious, has anyone tried the Bolle Photo V3 Golf lens / sunglasses for playing tennis? I'm not too thrilled with the Bolle specific tennis lens color (teal) or the dramatic change of colors when wearing it. The Photo V3 Golf lens is brown, which should be a good color for playing -- not...

Poly to get more power OR just for Power PLAYERS?

Can someone please explain how a stiff string like poly can give more power than an elastic string like natural gut or multi synthetic? I don't see how it's possible... The only logic I can see is that a Poly is good for a power PLAYER, by cutting DOWN on the power (i.e. less...

Comparing 10 and Under Tennis Ball BRANDS

Question for Tennis Instructors: I teach tennis with the red, orange and green balls. Are there any instructors out there who have some experience with different brands to see which ones maintain their bounce better. Stocking teaching carts with 4 different types of balls gets expensive...
