Tignor Article on the '74 DC (non) Final

I think it was the right move to make to (to not play). It is a shame because the Indians have never had a good Davis cup team since. The article was a great read.

Thanks Chris. I clicked with the 95S too, as soon as I hit with it. Your comparison has made my racquet decision.

Sorry to be banging the same drum, but was wondering if Chris could give us a comparison between the PS97 and the 6.1 95S.

Chris Edwards Meme: Agree or disagree?

I have no problems with people disagreeing with TW's reviews. Like you said earlier, how a racquet feels is subjective - and I couldn't agree more. I decided to comment when you decided to single out one factual (and graciously acknowledged) error as a reason why you don't trust Chris's reviews...

Here's how Doubles SHOULD be played!

Dimitrov is really athletic and fast. Pretty amazing. Great match, but I am glad Fed didn't devote himself to doubles! Maybe after the Rio Olympics :)

Chris Edwards Meme: Agree or disagree?

You can buy your racquets in your own way - I have no issues with that. I was bringing attention to how you singled out the one (and pretty much inconsequential) mistake in the video review for the RF97. I'd rather focus on the numerous great reviews the team has put out over the years. It...

    Pro Staff 97 315g Discussion

I like that there is more power in the upper part of the hoop (I added some lead at 12 to the PS 95 when I demoed it recently), but it seemed like the review was lukewarm - comparisons with the Blade 16x19 and Ai 98 are not favorable (in terms of my preferences).

I'm waiting for the video + written review ... but I'd be curious to know how it compares to the PS 95 and the 6.1 95S (Chris?) Thanks for the all great work, guys.

Chris Edwards Meme: Agree or disagree?

Yes, it was a mistake, and he has acknowledged it. Maybe you should try reviewing 100s of racquets over a span of several years without making a single mistake. Besides, it wasn't even that big a deal to me. I'm more concerned in how it plays, and he (and the other reviewers) do a great job...

I was hitting with it last night and noticed it. Wondered the same thing.

So I assume Ivanisevic is Coach Of the Year?

Goran for GCOAT. I used to love watching him play and I enjoy watching him even in the stands. It was nice to see the amount of genuine love and respect he gets from Cilic and from a lot of Croatians.

Review: Wilson Pro Staff 97 (315 gram version)

I suppose it depends on how you look at it. I like my racquet to have similar specs to what you look for - and it can be easily modded to these specs.

How will Fed's US Open 2014 loss impact on the RF97 sales?

The 97 has helped with serve returns, and it has also assured that he won't lose to players ranked much lower to him. BUT, He was lucky to beat Monfils and while I was surprised by how easily he lost to Cilic, I was not shocked. Watching him repeatedly miss his bread and butter forehand with...

    Playtest: RF97 vs PS97 vs PS97 LS

    Babolat raising sweetspot in PD

I wouldn't call 3500 members a statistically significant number, but I suppose there is an overwhelming number of rec players who hit the ball a little higher (I am one of them). Hitting above the sweetspot generally means a lower powered shot (polarized racquets may respond differently) - so...

New TWU Experiment (9-2-14): Racquet Weighting

Thanks for posting this. I have just skimmed the article for now and look forward to delving into the details. It is nice to see some science for some of the conclusions we take for granted, and for some that are not intuitive.

Great article on P1 and stringing Federer's RF97 racquets

Because any article that even mention Nadal gets a few folks fired up. Doesn't matter if it is relevant to the original article or not. Speaking of the article, I thought it was full of little fun facts. Interesting how it said that P1 has no women clients, and that women tend to care less...

2 4.5 singles player VS 2 4.0 doubles specialist in doubles

This is a question that (to me) is quite nuanced. I've played some 4.5s who are extremely solid off the ground and can outlast you physically and by making fewer unforced errors, but put them in a doubles format where the points are shorter and less predictable, then they don't do as well. In...

Fed in White Shoes v Matosevic

The money angle aside, the mashup between Jordan and RF is good publicity for tennis. However, I agree with some of the opinions here, that the shoe looks ugly. I don't usually wear Nike anyway (usually too narrow for my feet) and this just makes me run further away from them.

No love for the 2014 Wilson Pro Staff 95?

Thanks. I guess I'll look around the forums to see if some of these are available for cheap. I tried a demo, and broke the strings pretty quickly (which was annoying) but the lead at 12 worked great for me (tried a few other combos). Its a nice platform racquet. Love the feel too - it is...

No love for the 2014 Wilson Pro Staff 95?

Did you get it new? I'm looking for one at a good price ... I mentioned it earlier in this thread, but with some lead 12 I thought it hit really well. Love the box beam feel.
