    New "Old" Strings

Okay so in a way it's true. But this brings up another question, so it is in their favour to basically say this to everyone who brings in their own strings just so that if it breaks during stringing, they won't replace them? Reasons being: 1) He wants to sell you a pack of strings. 2)...

    New "Old" Strings

I brought my racquet for re-stringing this past weekend. I haven't played in years. I had a few packs of new strings that I bought a number of years ago. So I took one of the packs and my racquet in for re-string. The guy took a look at my pack of strings and asked how long have I had...

Getting back to tennis, need advice on racquet

I haven’t been on here for a LONG time. When I logged on earlier today, the system says my last login was in 2006. haha I played tennis once in a while when I was younger and now starting to slowly get back into it. Based on the descriptions, I am a 3.0 level player. I have a few...

    Self-Decomposing Racquets?

A few months ago, I read somewhere on this forum about how some of you believe that the materials in racquets will ‘breakdown’ after many hours of playing and will feel different after a couple of years because somehow the materials is not the same anymore. I kind of want to revisit this...

    Protection from Heat and Cold

If you have to leave your racquets inside the car trunk all the time, how do you protect your racquets from the extreme heat in the summer and cold in the winter? Especially for those people who don't have those 'thermal' protecton tennis bags.....

    How Old is Your Racquet?

This is kind of a spin-off thread from the one about used racquets' prices and how they 'breakdown' after usage. How old is your current racquet? How often have you been playing with it? How many more years do you think you can still playing with the same racquet?

Why are used racquets worth nothing?

I think it goes 'dead' to people because they've played with newer racquets that uses different materials so it'll feel different. I have a hard time believe that the material will change in a racquet like a rotten fruit or something?!

Having tough time switching to 2h backhand

I have been using a one-handed backhand and found that it's not that consistent. Someone told me to try a two-handed backhand. I tried it but having trouble with the transition. Any quick pointers on which arm is actually generating power?.....I have hard time also controlling where it is...

Why are used racquets worth nothing?

Well, I don't get it. If there are no cracks and chips in it, the structure of the racquet will not really change.....unless you string it at 68 lbs when the high range on it is 54 lbs. I don't see why a racquet will not 'have any pop'?

Why are used racquets worth nothing?

I was looking on **** and used tennis racquets, even in great condition, don't sell for much at all. I bought a new iRad OS and want to get rid of my Prostaff 4.0. But for the price that I can sell it for, I might as well give it away?! And it's kind of useless as a backup because the...

I am just wondering what tension you guys string your Radicals at. I strung mine at 64lbs. I found that my Hammer 4.0 strung at 54 was too poweful.

    Just Bought an iRadical OS

I've only hit with it for a few minutes today because I had something to do after. But it felt great. I feel like I can control me wing better now that the swing weight is lower. My Prostaff 4.0 was way too hed heavy for my taste.

    Racquets and **** Fakes

I have a couple of unrelated questions that I just wanted to ask you guys and gals for comments. 1) I've read about the painted racquets and that tour players don't really use the racquets that companies claim they use. But there has to be players that actually do use the racquet...

Why not the OS? Also, is there a more complete comparisons between the Radicals? The LM is only $30 more than the older i Radicals at my store.

    Beginner/Intermediate Racquets

Hmm.....I think you're right to a degree. I should focus more on the playing aspect of the game. However, I do think that getting a racquet that I can handle and feel better when swinging will help in learning as well. Do you think so?

    Beginner/Intermediate Racquets

I currently have a Wilson Prostaff 4.0 with Hammer System that I bought about 5 years ago. Back then, I didn’t know much about tennis and just bought it because it was on sale. I played a few time with it and then gave up tennis for 5 years playing soccer. I recently started to play tennis...
