    Pro's Pro Strings!?

Yes, I've played with cc plus before as a main. Played very well as I recall. May try that with the 1.20 interceptor I have just bought. Good combination of feel/power from the mains and spin from the crosses.

    Pro's Pro Strings!?

Anyway, back to PP strings! Anyone play with interceptor yet? I just picked up a reel. Looks like a poly tour pro clone. Also after a new multi. My gutex ultra reel is nearly done. What's this AA multi I read about further up the thread? Not come across that one in the UK yet.

    Head Elite Pro

Best looking Head ever. Mine has a Frankenstein cap grommet job which has been cut to fit but I'm getting the MG Prestige grommets for it soon as it deserves better. The feel when you hit the sweet spot is sublime.

For looks the Elite Pro. For performance the older Radical Tours in mid+ and OS variants.

    Help with Radical OS weights

Just get another candy cane. Mine arrived today, can't wait to hit with it. I like heavy, flexy rackets which are not that common any more. All the more modern OS Radicals are too light or lacking in some way. I had the Ti and and LM which I just didn't get on with

I'm in the wine business so get through a fair bit of nice wine. Also partial to a whisky and a beer. Makes me sound like an alcoholic I'm not really, most weeks I doubt I drink my weekly allowance but when I do have a drink it's something nice. If you like peaty whisky then try Lagavullin...

grommet for head trisys 260 OS and other

Oh dear you have a bigger problem than I do. Only got the one candy cane OS. I've been reliably informed that the best compromise is the Ti/I radical grommet.

grommet for head trisys 260 OS and other

Did you come up with a solution in the end? I have a radical tour OS incoming and it needs new grommets.

Former rugby player here too. I find the 100 weighted up helps make up for some of my lack of movement. Had two cartilage ops so I just can't run like I used to. With a heavy racket I can put it in the right place and the mass does the rest without me having to be in the perfect position.

I've come full circle with Angell too. Started with the 100, then went to the 97 for a while then to 95 and now back to the 100. The 100 provides what I need for my game at this point although I do have a radical tour OS on its way as I want to give an OS a decent try having borrowed a mate's...

Anything new in the OS world?

Yes, I've been watching those too. Purely by coincidence a Radical Tour OS candy cane is winging it's way to my door!

Not really. I like the weight on return for blocking back a big serve or taking a cut at a weak serve. I play doubles so the extra weight is also beneficial for volleys. Put the racket in place and let the mass do the rest.

Yes, plenty stable for me but then I have leaded it up.

Looking at it objectively I get less mis hits with the 100 than I did with the 95, probably because I was not in the right position often enough to play a proper stroke. With the 100 a short stab (on the backhand side) is enough to get the ball back in play. As I said I have the 100 at 350g so a...

Yes, the power level is not up for debate. They are both powerful rackets as I've played with both extensively. the 100 however is easier to play with than the 95.

Funnily enough the TC95 63 RA was what I came from and before that the TC97. I'll not lie, although the 95 is a great racquet I'm not good enough any more to do it justice. if you have good movement, foot work and mechanics it will work for you but for an ageing player with bad knees who no...

I must try un-modding one of mine. With leather and lead mine are both 350g from a base of 300g (unstrung of course) I could probably lose 25g and make life easier although I prefer a hefty racquet with high twist weight for doubles.

Iv'e played the liquidmetal MIA in the past and it's a low powered racquet imo. I had to add a fair bit of lead to get any power out of it then leather grip to balance at which point it became a bit unwieldy. I now own 2 TC100 300g with a 325mm balance which are also modified to 350g. They hit a...

Replacement bumper/grommets and string setup recommendations for early generation Head Radical Tour OS

On doing more research I have found that the best option is now the Ti/i Prestige grommet so I'll look into getting one of those.

    Head Instinct Liquid Metal MP

Lovely racket. Allegedly what Djokovic uses under all the paint, heavily modified of course. I had a pair for a while and liked them a lot but sold them on eventually which was probably a mistake. Low powered and flexible but the feel is great. Nice platform racket to modify, I put leather and...

Still playing with Pro Staff 6.0 95 Classic... Time to Upgrade... Suggestions?

Not exactly. What I was alluding to was that the Angell TC95 would be a good fit for someone coming from the 6.0 95. You can customise it to your requirements with weight/balance/grip shape. It won't obviously be the exact same as as a Pro Staff but Angell rackets have some of that old school...

Help me find my elusive platform racquet

Angell TC95 70RA 18x20 300g would meet the above criteria. Finding a used one at reasonable price might be a challenge though. The handle weighting is done with a customised pallet and can be altered according to the user's preference.
