    Serena William's GOAT Female Serve

How is Serena's serve so good? Her technique is perfect and she's a master at manipulating the spin on the ball. Her variety on her serve is astounding. Her accuracy, control, and consistency are also fantastic, which got me thinking. How is Serena's serve tiers ahead of all other female serves...

why can't i slide on HC?

Please don't try sliding on hard courts. It majorly stresses your ankles/knees/legs and can easily lead to injury. Professionals like Djokovic or Clijsters have special shoes for sliding on hard courts and they should absolutely not be copied.

Is it also weird to anyone else that there are so many 3-setters in this tournament? It's the same trend in the WTA tournament in Montreal as well.

Vika is serving, returning, and moving better than Serena.

2013 Us Open Final: Serena V. Azarenka

Serena has only hit 25 aces so far this tournament which is very unlike her since last year. I think that Serena will get the first set, relax and lose the second set, then narrowly win the last. If Vika wins the first set, I think Serena will lose her 17th major.

What's the device the woman behind the chair umpire....

It's a mic. The audience can't hear the grunts loud enough.

    Serena Williams v. Na Li

Sounds like the men's tournament too.

    Serena Williams v. Na Li

I'm kind of scared for the queen in this one. Li has the weapons to defeat Serena and she is currently being coached by Rodriguez, Justine Henin's former coach. Then again, Li could be Li and make 72 errors, but I don't really know. Either way though, I'm excited to watch this match.

Serena Williams vs Sloane Stephens 4th round

Sloane has a gigantic backswing on her forehand. It's similar to the big backswing Henin had on her backhand.

What Shot should I hit When I'm Pulled Off Court

I can't always hit an aggressive slice or a 110 mph cc forehand when I'm pulled off court though, especially when my opponent makes it hard for me to do so.

What Shot should I hit When I'm Pulled Off Court

It doesn't seem like my odds of winning the point are in my favor when I'm that far out of the court anyways. The opponent I played yesterday loved practicing his volleys off my moonballs.

What Shot should I hit When I'm Pulled Off Court

And by off-court, I mean at least in the doubles alley and my forward momentum will take me further off the court? To neutralize the rally, what kind of shot should I hit when I'm pulled off the court? Hitting a moonball would allow my opponent to unload on the next ball and take advantage of...

    Serena Williams vs. Azarenka

This felt like last year's US Open final except that Vika turned up the intensity the last couple games. Serena definitely hasn't been closing matches out as well as she did years ago.

Salazar & Stosur serve - Comparison of body rotation about spine

Seems like Salazar is hitting a flat serve while Stosur is hitting a kick serve. This might account for the difference.

So on a kick serve, you should open your body later than during a flat/slice serve?

Kyle Edmund one for the future?

Finally, a player whose name I can pronounce easily. He's not scared to be aggressive (unlike the other younger players on the ATP) so that's a good sign. I think I'm going to go root for him now.
