First Impressions of New 2023 Babolat Propulse Fury

Neither has what I'd call a soft/cushy feel, but CT Rally has more cushion and softer on my knees. Fury isn't terrible though.

If you could go back in time and stock up...

If you could go back in time and stock up on a discontinued shoe model, what would you buy? For me it's the original ASICS Court FF...wish I would have bought 2 dozen pair of them.

    Mizuno Wave Enforce Tour

Maybe I got a bad pair, but the amount of inward tilt in this shoe just doesn't work for me. I've got a med/narrow foot and sized down to 11.5, which is perfect for length and width fit. Wanted to love them, but just not a good fit for me.

    Fed's ON with Iga

Have gone to see him in person multiple times. He’s the real deal. If he’s not currently packing the stands, that’s an indictment on the tournament or the state of the sport, not the player.

The Babolat Propulse FURY 3 (2023)

Update after more wear and trying with arch supported insole replacement. This shoe is basically like a comfortable barricade. Personally, I've never found any iteration of the barricade comfortable. There's always an awkward pinching somewhere or a strange ankle collar, or just flat out hard...

Yes. Size 12 in both gp and fury3.

The Babolat Propulse FURY 3 (2023)

Just got a pair as replacement candidate for my GP Turbos. Not as much cushioning as GPs, but as much stability and a little lower to the ground feeling and fast feeling. Cushioning still ample and more predictable than B Icons. I don't think I've ever truly bottomed out the Icons, but...

    Mizuno Wave Exceed Tour 5

He does mention in the video that you have to "bring your own speed" with a shoe like the Exceed. And in other videos has admitted that he's not in the tennis shape he'd like to be in (which could describe a lot of tennis players). So he's probably naturally inclined to want a shoe that gives...

    Mizuno Wave Exceed Tour 5

@Nostradamus the Speed FF2 has a much lower arch, but better cushioning than the Exceed Tour 5. I need more arch and only played in them 4-5 hours and gave them away. But if you need a wide-ish toe box and have a flat foot, and want a balance of speed and cushioning, Speed FF2 is a good shoe...

    Mizuno Wave Exceed Tour 5

Asics Solution Speed FF2 is the same type of light, speed shoe with a little more cushion but has much lower arch. If that's not an issue for you it might be worth a shot.

    Mizuno Wave Exceed Tour 5

Update after a few more hours of play: *They run warmer than the GP Turbos or Court FF2s. The upper material, although soft, is not as breathable as you'd think. The unpadded tongue probably doesn't help either. *They are very fast feeling...faster than the Speed FFs and B Icons. *Definitely...

    Mizuno Wave Exceed Tour 5

I ordered my normal size 12 and seems like the right fit. Just right at the toe for length. I have a narrow foot. For reference, here's the sizes that fit me in other shoes: Nike GP Turbo: 12 Asics Court FF2: 11.5 Asics Solution Speed FF: 12 Diadora B Icon: 11.5 Mizuno Wave Exceed Tour 4: 12...

    Club Smart Court Technology?

Starting to research smart courts for our club. Anyone have any experience with Zenniz, Wingfield, or Playsight in a club setting? Any other alternatives? Primarily interested in: 1. Automated match/line calling 2. Real-time score displays 3. Court live streaming Looking for permanent...

Alcaraz... Be careful before jumping on his bandwagon...

Got to see Alcaraz up close in Cincinnati and the kid is an absolute physical beast! You may be right that he can't red-line like this every match, but he's a different class of athlete than Stan and Rosol. He also sees the ball really early and his prep is outstanding. The only thing I saw...

    Federer ON Tennis Shoes Launching

Same here. Would love to know if they actually looked at the submissions or if it was just a lottery. Sucks that most of these shoes are destined for the bay instead of a tennis court!

Nike Zoom GP Turbo official thread.

Just got my white and black and concur that the comfort of this shoe is next level! Stayed with my normal size 12 for my narrow foot and fit is perfect. Feels like a pair of tennis moon boots. They're not as fast feeling as my FF2s, but I may have to switch...The comfort is just too good.

Shoes problems from sliding on hard court

Taylor Fritz just put up an Instagram story showing a bag full of dozens of laces. I think the pros go through them really quick, or just chuck the shoes after a couple of matches. Shoe technology is just now starting to catch up to modern movements. I can't imagine attempting hard court...

    ASICS Speed FF2

I actually tried the Powerstep in my normal size (12) and, for my foot, the arch support was a little too far forward in the Speed FF2. Tried Superfeet and arch is in the right spot, but they took away too much cushion. Did not try 1/2 size up though as I was concerned that would make my issue...

    ASICS Speed FF2

Although I think the Speed FF2 will be an improvement for most, I'm giving up on them. Just can't gel with the wider toe box and can't make the low arch work for me. Was tempted to order 1/2 size down, but figured the low arch would still be an issue. So went back to the Court FF2s (half...

    ASICS Speed FF2

After 4 hours of hardcourt use: 1. The arch is considerably lower than the predecessor. Have an aftermarket insole ordered. 2. The outsole just as squeaky as the the original on split steps and sharp stops. 3. Lateral support continues to impress...quite a bit better than predecessor. 4. Have...

    ASICS Speed FF2

Have had my Speed FF2s for a couple of weeks and here are some random thoughts (Size 12, narrow foot): 1. They feel lighter on foot than their predecessor (Speed FF) 2. The toe box is wider, but they are still on the narrow side of medium through mid foot. 3. Great hard court grip. 4. A LOT...

Play full bed in Clash 100 and Blade 98 v7 16x19. Have it at 42lbs in the blade and love the pocketing feel I get from it. Better feel than Tour Bite Soft IMO, but less durability. Quite a lot more spin than a multi, like NRG or Sensation, but noticeably less spin than TB Soft. More crisp...

We Do Not Blame The Djoker For Not Attending Post Match Interview.

Have seen a healthy teenage junior, dropped by a similarly paced ball that he took to that exact same spot. Exact same reaction...gasping and fell to ground. It is shocking and scary to see in person.

The Solution Speed FF can’t be that bad, can it?

Lots of different foot types and lots of different movement types. I find Speed FF comfortable and move more confidently than with the FF2 (narrow foot). Have never had overheating issues in Speed FF, even in the 90+ Florida heat, but I don’t usually have overheating in most shoes. I’m also...

Clash 98: underrated racquet of 2019.

I have 3 grams at 10 & 2 and a shock shield grip on my Clash 98s, which brings them up to 12 1/4 oz. It still doesn't match the stability of a stock v7 blade (I've only hit with the 16x19 V7), but helps. The launch angle of the Clash 98 will be very different than a V7 18x20 and will take some...

Clash 98: underrated racquet of 2019.

The Clash 98 will cure some of the vagueness, in that the sweet spot is quite a bit smaller than the 100s. It takes more adjustment and is more difficult to just pick up and play than the 100s because of this. If I'm playing old school, serve and volley I grab my Phantom 100 18x20. If...
