different string tension mains and crosses

Proportional stringing: Adjusting tension accordingly to the length of each string. This is done to achieve an equal stiffness across the entire string bed because 60 pounds pulled on an 8 inch main string will be relatively stiffer than 60 pounds pulled on a 12 inch main string. To answer...

Do you know anyone with a faster weave than me? (51 sec. video)

Check the initials on the label located in the throat and let me know so I can poke fun at them. Thanks! I saw your speed stringing video just before I started learning how to string and I'm sure I subconsciously learned the index finger push weave from you. I could've been a middle finger...

Do you know anyone with a faster weave than me? (51 sec. video)

Woops, misread the question. Over 120 employees in various departments. We have about 8-10 stringers on duty a day so we're usually not going over 2k a week unless it's Christmas or black Friday.

Do you know anyone with a faster weave than me? (51 sec. video)

Thanks for the concern, pal! After the discovery of Noah's ark led me to have a much stronger belief in anecdotes. I spend about two minutes with the straightening awl after and proceed to hand straighten for a minute. After straightening 16k+ racquets, I can tell you this is important. My...

Do you know anyone with a faster weave than me? (51 sec. video)

I agree wholeheartedly. I speed string solely for fun to test out how efficient my constantly evolving method is. Efficiency is the ultimate goal. And you may be correct. I know for a fact it is possible to top my weaves by 15%. It is even easier to see on prime gut. I always use the...

Do you know anyone with a faster weave than me? (51 sec. video)

It sounds like you are very experienced and I forgot to ask you in my last post: What's the fastest time you've seen a racquet strung from mount to unmount? and the most you've seen in an hour?

Do you know anyone with a faster weave than me? (51 sec. video)

Ah, this is what I started the thread for. I'll expect my record to be short-lasting then. I'm absolutely sure that's a Yonex with 16 mains.

I'm guessing you know much faster weavers? I will gladly post a video of an 18x20 poly when I can.

Do you know anyone with a faster weave than me? (51 sec. video)

I was also the slowest at my store at one point too! Of my 15 coworkers... all of them can string full poly under 12 minutes with hardly any effort. It was super intimidating but I watched them string and learned their techniques to be honest. I had way more passion though. You're still...

    Drop Weight vs Crank

Great tip! I wish I thought of this in my dropweight days. The weaves will be tougher, but that extra time will work for you anyway.

Ask him please! Stringing and typing are the only two things I love losing at. You're still stringing at a professional level time so there's nothing at all to be embarrassed about. If we were to meet, I would love to show you a few tricks to cut down a few minutes and will raise the quality...

Yup! Nathan Nguyen is the name known by most. I would measure it by the time it takes from one end of 16 mains to the other.

Do you know anyone with a faster weave than me? (51 sec. video)

Not as well. I'm fairly good at weaving straight through though but it's about a second slower. I adjust my fanning speed according to the friction of the strings. I'm going to record a video of an APD with RPM 16g when I get the time. I plan on doing the entire racquet under 8:30 with...

Do you know anyone with a faster weave than me? (51 sec. video)

I will definitely have a full racquet up (I plan on sending it to reps). Also I will post up a few videos of me weaving some 18x20 polyesters in the future. I wish you the best of luck on your treacherous odyssey The elongation definitely means it's comfy so I believe that. Also it means...

Perhaps market is a better word. :) I'm actually hitting with a leaded up 6.1 95. I use the rev to feed balls for its pleasant feel and lightweight. I would likely actually love to string that up to say I've done it. I will definitely do it someday if it fits through grommet holes...

I'm stringing with a multifiliment. Definitely a lot easier than polyester. My weaves are usually a second slower (unless it's Lux Ace or another thin polyester)

    Syn Gut Mains - Awesome!

od1n, The smooth shape of the poly crosses we're using does not cut into the syn gut the way a textured poly would(I theorize there is much less friction between strings as well.) The soft syn gut has no chance against the stiff poly so notching will be completely eliminated. I can't hit...

    Syn Gut Mains - Awesome!

I've been experimenting with syn.gut and smooth, thinner poly crosses for a while now. It's my preferred set-up on my ps 85 and I find it really gives me controllable power without noticeably losing any spin. And the best part is the sound at impact... it's too beautiful to describe in words. I...

are low-powered racquets better for developing your strokes?

I think low-powered racquets are great for developing your strokes, especially if you're taught top spin. My first racquet was a hand-me-down leaded 13 ounce dunlop 200. I was taught top spin immediately after receiving the racquet. I firmly believe it forces you how to use your whole body to...

    Finally back on court

I assume you're the one closest to the camera. Your friend needs to ditch the one-hander. Yours is okay though; I like the quick take-back and full follow through. I'm glad you're back on court. Injuries that prevent perfect tennis are terrible.

I need your help! Looking for the most durable poly.

I had a pair of tecnifibres 320 v02 as well. Strings truly did pop quickly on that racquet. Give Alien black diamond and Gosen polymaster II. I really do guarantee you that you won't break these in five hours.

Kick serve - How do you brush?

Let me clarify: Ultimately I agree with cheetah. I also see where Toly's coming. I believe swinging more towards the net could at least yield a kick serve with more pace and less kick (not neccessarily less spin) but this doesn't cause the pure brushing sound OP's after.
