Thank you.
I was thinking I could add a gram to the lighter one under the but cap, But I wasn't sure if that would move the balance closer to 32.0 or move it farther away.
I am not a master racquet technician obviously, so I would probably just play them as is, and won't notice a thing.
Sorry. I was not being sarcastic. The reason I asked is because according to TW’s matching policy these racquets would not qualify. They would be outside of the 1.5 gram range and according to my math outside the balance range as well. Both just barely, which is why I asked if I would even...
I am a 4.5 player. I am wondering if these three racquets are a close enough match based on my talent level.
Wilson Blade 100
Specs w/ Plastic Grip
Racquet 1
304.5g, 293 SW, 32.0 cm
Racquet 2
305.1g, 293 SW, 31.6 cm
Racquet 3
303.4g, 292 SW, 31.7 cm
I have 3 Blade 100’s on the way.
Current racquet is the Speed MP 2022. I know they are similar frames but wanted to try the new Blade 100.
With the Speed MP I play with Cyclone Tour or WC Ultra Cable at 40 pounds. Has eliminated elbow issues.
Hoping elbow issues don’t flare up with the...
I ordered 4 Clash 100 and their swing weights are all extremely low.
Measured with the plastic on the grip at 264, 266, 268, and 271. Even adding string and a dampener it would be a struggle to get any of them to 300.
Time to sell. I think I am going to try the Blade 100.
I just hit the jackpot and noticed a size 10 had become available on the TW site for the navy blue / yellow pair. Only one pair available. Not sure how a size 10.0 recently became available, because as of last week they only had small sizes. I think I am just going to keep checking TW daily and...
One last thing. Is there any risk using the back eyelet on the final lacing? I’ve heard some people say they had to use it due to some early heel slippage so I figured it wouldn’t hurt to just lace it thru right away.
I got mine today and just slipped them on. I have been trying about every shoe possible in an attempt to replace my beloved ASICS Gel Resolution 9’s. I think these are it. They are size 10 and they fit perfectly. Right out of the box I feel like I could step on court and be fast and confident...
I picked up two pairs today from TW. The heritage model and the slate/obsidian model. I am interested to see the color of the swoosh on the slate/obsidian model as it looks black in all of the photos, but usually obsidian to Nike is more navy than black.
My GR X's came yesterday, and they are already in the box ready to be shipped back. I could tell just by wearing them around the house for 20 minutes that this was not the shoe for my game.
I wish I would have stocked up on the GR 9's, I could have easily played for 2-4 years in any of the navy...
For those that are wearing the FF3 can you address an issue I had with them when I tried them when they came out two years ago? I never actually took them out on court since I was so turned off by the elevated feel.
When I first tried the FF3 I sent them back right away due to not feeling...
I’ve been extremely loyal to the last several Gel Resolutions. I think it’s time for me to try to try some other options. First step is the Lacoste Medvedev.
You must have missed the part when I said I played over Winter Break, I played 10 of 11 days and each day was 2.5 to 3 hours of tennis. Every day with the Head Speed MP 2022 with a full bed of poly. Zero elbow issues. No soreness. No pain.
I am a full poly user. I use a full bed of WeissCannon Ultra Cable at 40 pounds. I cut my strings out after a week of playing in the summer (when I play 6-7 days a week), and about every 2-3 weeks during the school year when I only play 2-3 days a week.
I am not the most active poster on here but I know I have shared my tennis elbow experience. Long story short, I was sidelined from November of 2018 thru May of 2019 with tennis elbow. It was the worst injury I have ever dealt with as far as consistent pain and longevity of injury.
When I...
My 16x20 is in the TW classifieds. I played 4 sets this weekend and I really love the frame but just wish Babolat could have built it to the specs they listed. My frame ended up being 328g SW. It was fun to play with but I could feel my elbow getting irritated after playing. As a tennis elbow...
Friday cannot get here soon enough. I ordered four 16x20 frames and was going to keep the two that were closest to the advertised specs, most likely three if there were three of them that did. My frames came Monday and all I needed to do was measure the static weight to send them all back and...
I should have done that and was planning to do that, but I ended up getting a significant discount on the racquets (long story) and it wasn’t an option.
I ordered 4 frames and plan to keep the 2 that are the closest in spec to what TW says are specs. I am not a master technician so the only thing I can do is use my scale to weight the frame, and then do the poor man’s balance by seeing where they fall off my kitchen counter. I figure if they...
I am considering the same two racquets. I am really hoping to trade in my Clash 100 v2 for something better. Prior to having a major bout with tennis elbow back in 2018-2019 my two favorite racquets were the Pure Aero 100 and the Pure Strike Project One 7. I am a lefty so I loved getting more...
One thing I miss about my Project One 7 is the grip handle. I love what seems to be to be a rectangular grip. I don’t get that same feeling as I do with my Clash or Speed MP. I picked up a buddy of mines this morning and brought back memories.
Any of you who are currently playing the G4 know...
Yes. Thank you for the advice. So when you pay extra for the matching service you can not only get frames that spec out the same, you can also ask them to find certain frames that have a certain spec?
Count me as someone who is hoping to enjoy the PS 100 16x20.
I was forced to play the Clash v2 100 for a couple years due to elbow concerns and actually didn’t mind playing with it. Didn’t love it but didn’t hate it. My elbow improved.
It improved so much that this summer I decided to move up...
