    Awful Wilson Quality control!

Then the balance should be 1.5-1.0 inch unstrung-strung? But it still doesn't explain the 15 gram and 6pts off the specs of the ps tour 90 I bought from used from someone here. The 3 kps88 I have also have 5gram off from each other. So the heaviest one weigh 10 gram more and 3pts more...

    Awful Wilson Quality control!

I saw someone selling a ps 85. The printed specs lable shows weight 11.6-12.3oz and balance 1-1.5inch headlight. That's all Wilson can do? Doesn't 0.7oz(20gram) and 4 balance points make a lot of difference?

    Wilson Tennis Racquets 2010

I second that about Wilson's Bad Quality Control! At one point I even wanted to get rid of all my Wilson racquets and get similar racquets from a company with better quality control.

Please help me identify this Prostaff Tour 90

Maybe it is Wilson's quality control problem again! I will post some pictures later. I have read some posts here about the bad quality control of Wilson racquets. I guess 15 gram off is within their marginal error. It is easy to fix though. I just put lead tape on the handle under...

Please help me identify this Prostaff Tour 90

I just bought a PS Tour 90 from here on TT. Can someone tell me if it is an authentic Wilson product? The reason I am asking is that it is different from the matched pair I have. Here is some info: ------------------------This racquet -------------------My racquets Strung weight...

    All Wilson tour 90 users

I don't know if it is just me or just my racquets. I have been using 2 PS tour 90s and a N6.1 tour 90. The n6.1 tour 90 feels very different from the PS tour 90s. Does anyone else have the same experience? I thought they should be close since they have the same string pattern and same balance...

    Strings for cold weather?

The first time I tried natural gut, it was in the winter and I was playing outside at 40s. It felt like crap. Then I tried it again indoor, it was amazingly good. Unfortunately, it lasted me only 30min.

    Strings for cold weather?

I don't know if it is just me or what. This afternoon, I was playing a match with a friend. I found out my shots are off a lot, especially the putaway shots. I was making a lot of errors. I also notice that my racquet is lacking the power I need for the shot. The "pocketing" feel is also...

How long does poly last before it becomes dead?

Polys feel dead when they start to move around. You lose both power and control when it happens. For me, it takes 6 hours or less of hard practice hitting and about 8-10 hours of game play. I have hard strokes and heavy spin.

The cost to play in a USTA league

I never played in a USTA league and I am not even a member. Today I played with someone who is the captain of a 4.0 team. He asked me to join his team. I am wondering how much it cost to play in a team like this and what the cost are. I am in suburban New York.

    Strining Questin

I have a drop weight string machine and I use 19 foot for main and 16.5 foot for cross for polyester string. If I use one piece, I can save a foot or more. When I string synthetic gut, I use18 foot for main and 15.5 foot for cross since it's a bit more strechy. To be safe, you need to measure...

Thickness of Hex and regular, do you know?

Does anybody know how the manufactures measure the thickness of hex strings? I got MSV focus hex 1.10 and 1.18, MSV co-polymo focus 1.18. By eye, the hex 1.10 is about the same as the co-polymo focus 1.18, and the hex 1.18 is much thicker than the co-polymo focus 1.18. Anyone else has...

    Are you allergic to overgrips?

I don't know if it is just me or what. I use overgrip. Overtime, my skin at the thumb and index finger got very rough and at times there was a cleavage in my finger like a deep cut. It hurts like hell. Have any of you had this kind of problems with the overgrips? I think I am allergic...

    MSV Hex

I got a reel of MSV hex 1.10 and have strung 4 time. It has good playability but the durability is not good at all. I guess I hit with too much topspin and power. The play time for the 4 sets are: 1st - 6 hours 2nd - 4 hours 3rd - 1 hour 4th - 3 hours If you are a hard hitter and hit...

    cyberflash hybrid?

I have tried hybride of cyberflash main with OG micro cross and x1-biphase cross. I'd say x-1 biphase is a much better cross, a little pricy though. When I used OG micro, the cyberflash main moves a lot. But x-1 biphase keeps the cyberflash main in place. Plus, x-1 biphase adds a lot more pop.

My experience with MSV Focus Hex 1.10

MSV focus hex 1.10 I broke another set of MSV focus hex 1.10 today, after only 4 hours of play. For those who are looking for durable strings, this string is definately not the one for you. This string plays much like the Pro Huricane 1.10. BB ace 1.10 is a little more stiff but the tension...

My experience with MSV Focus Hex 1.10

I think the knots are fine since I didn't have such problem with a few other strings. For 1.10mm strings I have tried, BB Ace has better tension stability, followed with MSV focus hex, and Prohuricane.

My experience with MSV Focus Hex 1.10

I got a reel of MSV focus hex 1.10mm and strung it up in PS tour 90 52/55 main/cross. It played very well: very comfort, lot of spin, controllable power. But the durability is not as it was stated for this thin string and the tension stability is not good. The string lost a lot of tension...

Looking for the best cross string.....

Hybrid users: What cross strings are you using? I started with synthetic guts, tried multifilaments, full polys. Then I tried poly main and synthetic gut (or multi) cross. I liked the full poly job since the string does not move. Then I found the right amount of power from the hybrids...

Least Expensive 17G/18G Polys that hold tension well?

I like the full poly job of cyber flash (1.20) because there is minimal string movement. After I tried the cyber flash(1.20)/OG micro (1.25) hybride, I liked it more because of the amount of power I get. But the poly main starts to lose tension fast and moves like crazy after 4-5 hours of...

Racquets that give you that "sinking" feeling?

pocketing effect I feel the pocketing feeling with my PS tour 90. IMO, the pocketing effect is due to the following reasons: 1. soft and thin string; 2. Low string tension; 3. heavier racquet; 4. stiff racquet; If you like the "sinking" feeling, those are the factors you got to consider...

    Asian K90 Tour

Asian K6.1 90 tour The asian K6.1 tour 90 is shown on the big auction site. The guy is asking $200 plus $40 shipping! Looks like Wilson and some other guys will make a lot of money out of the new paint job! Looks like I am going to play with my PS tour 90 and ncode tour 90 for a while. :D

Does anyone know where I can pay to watch live matches online?

LOL..... Thanks everyone! Actually, I got a TV but I don't have cable hooked up. I have been too busy playing tennis and other stuff so have no time watching TV. Looks like it's time to get the tennis channel.:D

    New Racquet - triceps tendinitis

IMO, most (all??) problems associated with playing tennis is due to wrong forms/habbit. The racquet or string may contribute very little to the problem. I suggest that you consult a tennis teacher or pro for your forms. you can also take vedio of yourself to see where the problem is.

Interesting stringing job - string diagonally

Hi Everyone, At one time, - only once so far - I saw an old guy playing a Doubles Tour using a racquet that is strung diagonally!! Yes, that's right! I am just curious: has anyone else seen this type of stringing job? What are the pros and cons of this stringing job? Can one string any...
