WTA week of 10/28; Hong Kong, Juijiang, & Merida 250s

Your girl??? Since when has your taste improved so considerably? I tried to write a long report about this year's Prague tournament a couple of months ago but - of course  - after finishing it and trying to send it it didn't go through and then I couldn't log into this forum for over a...

2024 WTA Sudden Death League: WTA Finals

'Last Mile' seems to be already in this competition - good! (y) He (she?) can have my place (I was quite amazed to still be in top 8!) I had enough of this for this year already months ago. I haven't decided about my future in this game yet... I will probably take part at least on Grand...

Brilliant Belinda Bencic - Switzerland's New Star

Pleased to have Belinda back, but I still hope she loses tomorrow. And it's Kulikova she faces tomorrow, dear dork!

WTA week of 10/28; Hong Kong, Juijiang, & Merida 250s

^ Been telling you misters that she has plenty of potential but so far has been pretty much throwing it to waste. Meanwhile Tsurenko retired in her match against Blinkova (0-4 in the third):rolleyes::rolleyes: That's just... just unbelievable!:X3:

    WTA week of 10/14; Ningbo 500 & Osaka 250

I don't exactly want to like Kasatkina as a person but she was so sweet to Mirra after the final that I'm practically forced to! (y) :D Slightly disappointed that didn't even got the winner of Ningbo right, though getting so close with still kind of a joker card, was not so bad... They put...

    WTA week of 10/14; Ningbo 500 & Osaka 250

Laura's matches took forever 7 to 20 years ago because of her towel-trolling (and useless arguing) and now she just seems to win or go down only after very long matches! I don't find her attractive but she is not to underestimate as a player. At times plays formidable tennis. My...

    WTA 2024 Beijing 1000

Spectators would be nice! Kenin and Bogdan had practically none, never-forget-to-grunt Italian and 'Nobodyhomi' a couple here and there. Still Beijing has population of 22 million which is as much as say whole Czech Republic and Belgium combined!!! There's no grounds for any byes...

WTA week of 9/16; Seoul 500 & Hua Hin 250

I'm well familiar with Sramkova as a weirdo that has watched Slam-qualies a lot in recent years. She probably appeals to you all lame-blonde-fans!? ;) And I got to admire how Siegemund just keeps being worthy player year after year after year! (y) She was reportedly planning to quit and change...

WTA week of 9/16; Seoul 500 & Hua Hin 250

Ok, it's just Seoul "challenger" but I have told you that Polina Kudermetova has much more talent/potential than her ranking has shown as a pro (She was once junior nr.4!!!) She should just have a strict coach that makes her really play and gets her hungry for success. Usually she is like she is...

Songs that you don't want to hear on the radio

    1. Phil Collins: Another day in paradise --- 2. Eminem: My name is 3. Gloria Gaynor: I will survive 4. Bobby McFerrin: Don't worry, be happy 5. Michael Bolton: Can I touch you there? 6. Bros: When will I be famous? (or any other "song"/"hit" by those idiots) 7. Anything by 'The Offspring'. 8...

    2024 U.S. Open - Women's Discussion

Not among the greatest matches but happy that Karo is through! (And happy also that super-one dimensional Potapova with her lump knees and not-so-nice-legs is out! ) Though who on earth cares about some damn legs anyway? Only one countrymate I know that cares is gay guy!

Congrats to tough Asian, Yafan Wang, for victory over Viktoria Azarenka! Hmmm... can I remove all my likes to this person somehow? :( ;)

    2024 U.S. Open - Women's Discussion

Badosa sure gets good practice on defensive play from both sides! :D I would also bet the 10-point tie-break came last year... or was it already in 2022? Not 100% sure.

    2024 U.S. Open - Women's Discussion

So sad that she couldn't keep her cool better. She hasn't lost yet but looks very bad on her perspective. Nice volley though.

    2024 U.S. Open - Women's Discussion

Nice one Elena - two big serves in a row IN and now she has the advantage! Getting exciting...

    2024 U.S. Open - Women's Discussion

I think Badosa is more solid and will win this. But on the other hand I also think Ruse has already shown what I wanted her to show! (y) (Even though she can play game with higher 1st serve percentage and less UEs than today. )

    2024 U.S. Open - Women's Discussion

I hope Ruse "starts from zero" the 3rd set and plays well and fights till the end no matter the outcome. The main point is, I want her to show everybody that she is not really any 122. in the World but definitely a top 100-player.
  18. HarveyPitnik

    2024 U.S. Open - Women's Discussion

She has had 100 miles per hour 2nd serves which is impressive on ladies side. (In civilised World we see that as 161 km/h! ;) )

    2024 U.S. Open - Women's Discussion

Wow, Paula is serving harder than damn Tsitsipas! I think second set is clear but Ruse can turn again the tide in the third...

Beautiful last two points from EG and she takes the set after some struggle.

    2024 U.S. Open - Women's Discussion

You know she has played Cristian 5 years(!) ago and Queen Oceane 4 years ago, so back then during those two meetings she was not the prettier one. :D Ruse has already thrown away far too many chances - now use your advantage! Ha ha, finally she gave Badosa her own medicine, very accurately...

Xinyu is really bad and UE-machine today! :( She is so bad that Putin has easily kept her cool! :D

    2024 U.S. Open - Women's Discussion

"The looker pair" of Boulter & Kalinskaya turned the match against Xinyu Wang and Saisai Zheng and just won it. Yes, it's almost like "a miracle"! Jovic can't beat top 400 players in juniors, but somehow everything's different here...

    2024 U.S. Open - Women's Discussion

Wimby champ now in very deep 'merde" indeed. Ruse with three match points! And she takes it! Mixed feelings but Ruse is cool and excellent player, so (y)

    2024 U.S. Open - Women's Discussion

Very much looks as this will be true in couple of minutes. A pity that Krejcikova started to play better but kept struggling with her serve.

    2024 U.S. Open - Women's Discussion

Bara seemed to be taking the second set but now Ruse says "No!" Two amazing winners and now tied at 5-5.

Clear upgrade on Krejcikova's game at the moment! Hope this is ends up being tight long battle with high class, enjoyable playing that both players are capable of!

    2024 U.S. Open - Women's Discussion

Even as the person that appreciates her the very least on this forum, I agree her Slam-draws have been "very demanding" and not exactly lucky in 2024. But still... either my anti-player nr1 or nr 2 is immediately out - I'm not complaining!:D About 15 minutes ago I was watching 3rd round...
