6'6" player looking for quick raquet

I also own an Aero Storm GT. Compared to the APDGT, the Aero Storm is less powerful and less spinny with more control and more comfort. It's heavier but not as polarized so they feel the same when I swing them. Given your demos thusfar, you would probably find it too heavy. I also just...

Are there any good yellow strings for the crosses?

MSV Co-Focus (aka the best poly cross ever) comes in bright yellow, although TW doesn't carry it.

6'6" player looking for quick raquet

I am also 6'6", so I know where you're coming from. IMO the next step up in power from the X10 would be the X9 (in the Volkl family anyway). It's just as whippy and comfortable. I didn't care for the Steam. It was light enough that it felt unstable and too easy to get "wristy" with, kinda...

So we're back to discussing the PD2012, right? OK. I have a PD12+ coming next week. Long-time APDGT+ user, former PDGT+ user. Demoed the 2012+ a few weeks back but wanted to tame it with tighter strings. Now I'll get my chance, and if I don't like it, it'll become a trade-in.

Need some suggestions picking a new brand of tennis balls.

The difference is marginal and only becomes apparent after a few weeks in the hopper. They retained their durable felt, which still does not fluff, and their solid, "heavy" feel.

    Juice Pro review.

It's strange indeed. It was fine for every joint other than my shoulder. Maybe it's a static weight/stiffness combo thing. The other heavier racquets I've hit with have been more flexible. I was sad to see them go, because playing with them was so sublime. Good luck with all your Juicy...

Need some suggestions picking a new brand of tennis balls.

Pro Penn Marathons. They don't keep their bounce quite as long as last year's Pro Penns, but their felt durability and solid feel remain. I can usually get two matches out of a can.

    Stringing natural gut 1st time

Watch out for excessive wear when fanning crosses that cross the outer mains very quickly after leaving the frame (2nd, 3rd, last, etc.). Even when you fan the cross, it's still only moving along the first main that it crosses about 1 mm. Best to pull the entire length of the string through...

    Juice Pro review.

Sad Day for the Juices The past couple of days have been sad on the Thor Hammer (Juice Pro) front. I restrung them again with 18g poly at 50 lbs and did about 30 minutes of drills (all stuff I usually do). The very next day, my RC tendinitis was back. It felt worse than it has in a month...

Babolat compare: PDGT (2012) vs APDGT

Interesting, since the PD2012 is both stiffer and lighter than the APDGT. I found the PD2012 to still be more powerful and slightly less spinny than the APDGT line. The APD still has the edge from the baseline for me because of the spin production and slightly better control, but the PD wins...

Suggest a String for Juice Pro BLX 2.0 player.

OP, no offense, but a 2.0 should not string with anything but an inexpensive synthetic gut. Polys, multis, and hybrids will not do anything for your game, nor will anything more than about $6 per set. Your shop knows this, too, and just wants to sell you some expensive string.

    Classifieds That Drive You Crazy

I don't know about most of you, but there have to be some TW posters out there who browse the classifieds regularly, looking to scoop up a second frame or an "extended demo." I am one of them.
