I have to agree, that most 18x20 frames have higher static and swing weights than more open pattern frames. Adding to the argument (IMO) flat hitters that i play with rely more on the plow through to produce a win condition, while the spin players rely more on lighter swing weights and swing...

Probably a little early to tell, but I haven’t noticed anything out of the ordinary are a]far as paint chipping/wear. Pretty par for the course so far after about 20 hours on court.

Very good feedback coming out about these frames. I think initially people were weary of lower weight, but from the sounds of things people are really liking the frames.

Lucky to be selected for the Clash. I'll be testing it between my V1 pro and the regular V1 (might have to acquire one of those). Kinda wished I would have grabbed one of the V2 when they were on sale.

Yea out of the more modern Wilson Frames Blades and Clashes are literally the only ones I see from players I string for. Maybe a pro staff once in a blue moon.

Very interested in clash 3.0. really liked the 1.0. Wasn't a fan of 2.0 as much. Very interesting/different feeling rackets.

Yeah I'm curious on the string spacing as well. Originally I was all on board for the new pattern but in practice I felt it was a downgrade in performance

Don't know if it is just me but the PD Tours were not the same feeling that the PDRs were. Once they went to the Tours vs the Roddick, I found the standard PD+ with some added weight at 3 and 9 were better frames than the Tour version. Played the PDRs through their run then went to a modded PD+...

OOOOOOOhhhhh....this should be fun! Glad they are continuing with the Pure drive plus. Used to be my main racket for years. All the way back to the OG Cortex days. Cant wait to see what they do with this version. The last version caused me to look at other frames.

Tennis experience/background: 25+ years playing and coaching. 4.0 singles with occasional doubles. Babolat was the first shoe I fell in love with, the old Propulse (the ones Roddick used to wear). After they did the major redesign, I switched to KSwiss for about 7 years, before switching again...

The Prestige line has always been a solid hit for me when I have played with them. I even remember the Youtek Mid being a great racket for me (although very demanding). Once the Pros started to come out with the added spin of an open string pattern I think it made them even more versatile.

Ill chime in with this. I was on the MP Playtest. I really loved the racket during the playtest. As a long term PD/APD user it really fit my game. But after the playtest...i just keep coming back to it. IMO it much more comfortable than the PD and I feel the power level is more controllable...

This playtest looks really interesting in a good way. Interested to see how it fits in with the rest of the Wilson lineup. Realistically the 01 is in my wheelhouse, though I'd love to hit with the 01 Pro.

I think it may be the racquet . I've tried two very different string setups (both poly hybrids) and both gave the racquet a "different" sound than I guess I'm used to hearing. But a #64 rubberband took care of that.

Yea I have to agree 100%. Something that a little lead at the tip might solve. But I am not feeling the way TW did with their review about the shanking issue either.

Glad to be chosen for the MP! Haven't used the Extreme since the Youtek versions, which I enjoyed. Looking forward to trying the more arm friendly newer edition.
