coming back after a decade off....need a new prestige 16x19

Former YT IG Prestige user and current Prestige Pro 16x19 owner. You will feel comfortable with the specs (mine averaged at 345g w/leather grip, 31.1mm, and 320SW) but the Auxetic 2.0 layup feels distinctively different, so I'd suggest you demo it first. I've had to lead up at 10 and 2 for plow

    Head Gravity 98 16x19 (Coming in 2025!)

I'm considering switching from the 2023 Prestige Pro 16x19 to this for lighter static weight and comparable RA and SW. On paper, the specs look comparable. Does anyone have an anecdotal comparison between the two? My only gripe with the Prestige Pro is that the SW came in way lower than the...

    Head Prestige 2023

If the PT630 was too noodly, then this Aux 2.0 Pro 16x19 would not be a good fit (it has a similar feel with less SW). I would suggest trying out the Prestige MP 18x19 that just arrived in the States, or if you are interested in sticking with 95 sq, the 360+ Graphene Pro (16x19, two generations...

Will TW US carry the respective grommets? I currently play with this racquet and notice TW EU does not offer replacement.

You're right. My old eyes got it mixed up with the MP. Crisis averted.

    Prestige Pro 16x19

I finally had a chance to measure the swing weight (via Briffidi), which came in at ~315 (avg over 3 racquets). This is way lower than the 325 SW advertised, which is a little disappointing. Is anyone else seeing the same thing?

    Prestige Pro 16x19

I'm in the US and purchased the racquet from TWE. I then used a package forwarding service in Germany to deliver it to the US.

    Prestige Pro 16x19

I strung up a gut/poly hybrid (Luxilon Gut 1.25 @ 55, Luxilon Element 1.25 @ 50), and immediately felt a difference in how the racquet reacted. The racquet flex and ball pocketing were more unified than my previous setup (full bed Yonex PTP 1.15, 49), and I am exerting less energy into neutral...

    Prestige Pro 16x19

I'm a current 16x19 pro owner. The spin potential is negligible compared to the 18x20 on neutral rallies. I'm starting to feel that string selection and tension matter since the 58RA makes this racquet feel like a noodle.

Am I mad - Prestige Pro

Former VCore 95 Pro & current Prestige Pro Aux 2.0 16x19 owner here. The VCore Pro was definitely more forgiving in power and spin, and the current Prestige Pro is a control beast. I had to tinker with string tension to replicate similar power/spin(-1 to 2 lbs lower than usual), and lead for...

What is your one wish for the racquet industry going forward?

Since platform racquet is all the craze, it would be great to have more local customizers to help with tinkering.

The HEAD Prestige is BACK Back

I've been trying to accomplish the same with string set up on the 2023 Aux 2.0 16x19 pro. I currently have a full bed of PTP 1.15 at 49 lbs and am looking a bit more power and spin. Any poly suggestions I should consider?

The HEAD Prestige is BACK Back

This may be personalized, but my on-court experience btw the 2023 Tour vs. Pro (16x19), is on full stretch and half volley strokes (essentially some version of defensive play). This is where I have experienced the major difference in depth & power. The pro will leave some balls short compared to...

Leather grips make a big difference.

I use the TW private label leather grip (22 x 1.3mm, the thinnest one) to minimize added weight (it weighs 33g). I don't know how much synthetic grips weigh but I'd suspect it's comparable.

Modern rackets compared to Head Protour 630?

Compared to the PT630, my experience so far with the 16x19 on Spin/launch angle is equal (slightly higher is spot on). There is more pop, but I'd attribute it to the different way the racquet flexes rather than the ball pocketing (if that makes sense). Power is comparable to PT630. If you do not...

Modern rackets compared to Head Protour 630?

Thumbs up on Prestige Pro 2023. The 58RA flex is very close to the PT630. My only comment is that Prestige Pro has slightly less plow than the PT630, but it can be managed with lower tension.

The HEAD Prestige is BACK Back

I finally tried out my Prestige Pro 16x19 TWE for about 2 hours yesterday (strung with Yonex PTP 1.15mm at 52lbs), and would agree with the assessment here. It definitely has plow from the 58 RA with less PT630 heft and weight, and felt a lot more like a 95 rather than a 98 sq in. SW felt...
