    Easiest 98 to use

I just got a Clash 98 v2 to try and combat some wrist pain and it's super easy to use. It doesn't exactly shine in the control department, but it has power, touch, and spin in spades, and as long as you hit with some spin, it's not really very hard to control.

Customized Head boom MP : the secret weapon ?

I have a Boom MP that I've customized a bit - I added a total of 4 grams at 3 and 9, and an extra gram at 12, and it definitely plays better than it did un-customized, but I still prefer my stock Gravity and Speed MP's. That being said, the Boom is strung much tighter than the other two, and 99%...

Whippy 100 sq head control frame

Gravity MP is definitely worth a shot - not the most control-oriented, but certainly better than most 100 inchers, and it's pretty whippy. The Speed MP isn't too bad either, but has more power than the Gravity, and a smaller sweetspot.

    Extreme MP vs Speed MP

I have both, and I haven't actually measured, but just from the eye test, the spacing of the Speed looks denser in the middle of the stringbed - outside of that it does seem to open up a bit compared to the Extreme. The Speed is slightly more control-oriented than the Extreme, but it's honestly...

head speed mp 2022 glossy paint

Not sure exactly what you mean by yours being "slightly" glossy - but the white paint on all of the Speeds that I've been shipped for my pro shop has been matte - the black is glossy. Or at least the white paint at the throat is matte, the white "HEAD" text in the hoop is glossy.

    Head next releases

Radical is Feb, Gravity is April. Haven't heard any mention of the Prestige, but I think late '23 would work with their usual timeline.

Thinking About Relocation to Tennessee: What areas are Considered Tennis & Pickleball Centers?

Nashville I think has a pretty active tennis scene. Chattanooga has some tennis going on too, if you want to be in a slightly smaller city.

Tennis Warehouse Playtest - Head Hawk Power 1.25!!

How did the durability compare to Lynx Tour? LT is my go-to, but I'm curious to try Hawk Power. I just don't want a huge drop in durability - I like Hawk Touch, but it lasts about half as long as LT, and that's a problem :P

    Head Auxetic Extreme Thread

I've hit a decent amount with both - I was on the PA23 playtest - and I would say that the EMP is much better. Better feel, better blend of power/control, and better spin potential. I think the weight distribution is better as well - I do think as a platform frame, the PA is probably better...

For you serve and volleyers out there -- what racquet are you using?

I don't exclusively serve and volley, but I really enjoy it in singles, and I always do in dubs - I quite like my Radical MP for it, as well as my Extreme Tour. I was on the Pure Aero playtest and it worked really well for s and v as well, so it's worth a shot too.

Tennis Warehouse Playtest: Babolat Pure Aero 2023

Part 2: Comments on racquet performance in each area (should be 2-3 sentences minimum) Power/Control- Unsurprisingly, this racquet has tons of power. Control, at times, was lacking. I had it strung with a decently stiff poly at 54lbs, and I am a fairly accomplished player, and I still had...

I don't have pictures at the moment, but I have strings in 3 different places that are scuffed because of the grommets. They really need to fix the head guard. Some extra material wouldn't be a bad thing to bump up the swing weight a tiny bit anyways haha

Tennis Warehouse Playtest: Babolat Pure Aero 2023

I think I was a bit hasty when I attributed my arm soreness to rock-climbing. I've hit a little bit with other racquets recently and felt fine afterwards. Plus this morning my arm felt 100% fine - I haven't gone climbing for a couple days, but then after 90 minutes of easy hitting, my forearm...

Tennis Warehouse Playtest: Babolat Pure Aero 2023

Well, I had a brief side-by-side hit on a ball machinre with the PA and the Extreme MP, and I feel like the Extreme hits they way some folks are saying the PA hits with lead added to the top of the hoop. It just swings through the ball a little cleaner. It feels like the swing weight on my PA is...

Tennis Warehouse Playtest: Babolat Pure Aero 2023

No arm problems, except from my newly picked up hobby of rock climbing haha. Mine is currently strung with Lynx Tour 17g at 54lbs. Finally got my shipment of the new Extreme MP's, so I'm excited to string up my shop's demo and get a bit of a comparison!

Tennis Warehouse Playtest: Babolat Pure Aero 2023

That's a good point. Probably the easiest way to determine what would be best for me is to try hitting defensive slices with the PA and then my two other main racquets - Radical MP and Extreme Tour. The Radical is basically the same weight as the PA but with more weight in the hoop, while the...

Tennis Warehouse Playtest: Babolat Pure Aero 2023

I get what you mean about the slice - you can get really good power and spin on the ball, pretty easily at times. I find hitting offensive slices off of shorter balls to be really fun and easy - I am finding hitting defensive slices a bit more difficult. I feel like the racquet needs just a...

Tennis Warehouse Playtest: Babolat Pure Aero 2023

To be clear - I do not abuse my racquets in the slightest. I also don't baby my racquets - if I need to scrape the ground a bit with a frame to make a good play on the ball, then I won't hesitate. If the difference between hitting an ok shot and a good shot is making some contact with the ground...

Tennis Warehouse Playtest: Babolat Pure Aero 2023

Still plugging away with this frame, and very much enjoying the playtest, but I did want to pose a question to other posters/playtesters here. How do you all feel about the quality of the paint/grommets? I love the glossy paint, but so far it's been chipping super easily. I've been hitting with...

Tennis Warehouse Playtest: Babolat Pure Aero 2023

Clocked a few more hours over yesterday and today, including some doubles sets, and I'm still very much enjoying the PA. Serves are easy, forehands and backhands (flat, topspin, and slice) all feel easy and comfortable. Volleys also feel great - the racquet is maneuverable and stable, and that's...

Tennis Warehouse Playtest: Babolat Pure Aero 2023

Had a chance to hit at a higher level yesterday for about an hour, and it was mostly positive. The backhand slice felt really good - good depth and spin with minimal effort. Volleys felt similar - I'm not the most focused player, so I'll sometimes get a bit lazy on my volleys, but it was so easy...

Racquet finally arrived last night, and I was able to string it up this morning with my orange Lynx Tour 17g at 54#. I don't have a scale or swingweight machine, but based on past experience as well as the racquets I currently have on hand - I would say it's very close to being on-spec - it...

Serena Williams' last match: The Most Watched Tennis Match in ESPN's History

I was in the stadium for the match and the atmosphere was absolutely unreal. It's really easy for fan engagement to ebb and flow in a tennis match, because of how up and down the matches can be, but the fans were 100% locked in the whole time. Really special.

    Favorite 305g, 98 inch frame?

I've used the Blade and the Extreme Tour and have liked both - i would also say that the Radical MP, despite being a 300g frame, plays more solidly than its advertised weight. I don't miss much using the radical that I get from the Extreme, except for a bit less spin.

Tennis Warehouse Playtest: Babolat Pure Aero 2023

For me a lot of it depends on the racquet - I used to use an RF97 strung in the 40's, but then since I've switched to lighter, powerful frames, I find it more comfortable to string in the 50's (I tried my Blades at 48 and they felt terrible, 56 and the felt amazing!). Also for coaching hitting...
