The PS X and the Blade 100 v9 (with leather grip), both played with overgrips are IMO by far the 2 best rackets for intermediate rec players. Anyone 4.0 and above should give them a demo! I’m glad I have these options amongst the sea of dampened, soft, muted modern frames from Yonex or Head.

Gut/poly is nothing like full poly and agree with the rest that it offers better performance than full gut. I would also strongly recommend a gut main, poly cross hybrid!

RC/GW in a 100sq at low 40s lbs did not feel boardy, but I didn’t find Lynx Tour boardy either. RC/GW is definitely softer and less plasticky feeling.
