Wilson Blade with Heart Dampener Pros

It's probably because those "W" dampers are two wide to properly fit string patterns that aren't really open in the middle. I see people using them vertically as it's the only way to fit them decently.

    Wilson Shift 300 16x20

I picked up a US Open edition as well. I quite liked it but the more I used it the more my arm started to get sensitive and then my wrist started hurting and I've never had wrist issues ever so I had to drop it. It's a shame because I liked it on serve and 1HBH and spin generation. There's...

Wilson Blade 100 V9 vs Head Gravity MP 2025

Doesn't matter what we think. Test the two back to back and pick the one that edges the other out based on criteria of serve, groundstrokes, volleys. If it's still a tie then pick the Gravity based on paint job alone.

Those two facing each other is kind of the perfect storm for something like this to happen.

Lol epic celebration by Medvedev vs Fils in Indian Wells

Ha ha ha. Is this a joke? He's one of the biggest babies on tour when things don't go his way. I used to kind of like his quirkiness but he's become such a baby over the last few years.

    Head Auxetic Extreme Thread

I think someone made that grip longer with a replacement leather grip. You can tell they didn't bother cutting the grip down to fit.

    Speed MP - what next?

The 2024 Speed MP has a higher swing weight so you will get more drive with that compared to the Aux. V1.

Wilson tennis is stuck in the past.. Adjust or keep losing market share!

IMO Wilson has been more creative than the other brands with the Shift, Clash, and RF01 and sometimes when you swing big, you miss. The Clash has been pretty successful for them and the Shift has done decent enough for a new silo (I quite like it but it does give me a bit of arm pain). The...

Tecnifibre T-Fight 305S vs Babolat Pure Aero 98

Neither myself or my brother can jive with the PA98 on serve but as with all racquets, what works for some, may not work for others.

Tecnifibre T-Fight 305S vs Babolat Pure Aero 98

I can't speak for the 305S as I haven't used it but if you have a flat serve the PA98 may not be great for your serve. If you start implementing more spin on your serve you could probably work with it.

How has your taste in racquets changed in the last few years?

I have been largely using tweeners for years now but played my best tennis last year with Extreme Pro. I haven't clicked with other 98's as well however so still have some tweeners in the bag.

    Pure Drive 2025

Depends on the player and preference for heavier racquets. I don't recall ever using a tweener spec racquet that's as stable as the 25 PD as it plays really well off the shelf. IMO this is the best ever PD for the masses.

    Wilson Shift V2?

Shift 99 is pretty whippy and the vertical bending definitely adds spin. I quite like this frame and use it from time to time but occasionally it gives me bit of elbow and shoulder pain as it's not overly comfortable on flat shots. What world do we live in when I actually switch to a PD when...

Yonex EZONE 100 2025 — A Top Gun of Racquets

There are a bunch of comparisons online between the new PD and Ezone 100 and I've yet to see one where at the end they didn't ultimately prefer the PD if they had to choose. If you are a Yonex person then yes it's great but I think the PD is better especially now that it's more comfortable.

    Tsitsipas Blacked out racket!

Extreme Pro IMO is probably the most underrated racquet today. It's the only 98 right now that can give the PA98 a run for spin, power, and control. Heck I don't think the Blade 100 V9 has more power than Extreme Pro (used both extensively last summer) let alone the Blade 98 16x19 V9.

The death of the Blade 98

Every great frame eventually has its day. The Blade recipe is still a good one and I see lots around the clubs. Just because a few players have recently switched away from it I don't think that's telling that the end is imminent because it isn't as the line is still a top seller. That said...

babolat pure aero 98 new paint job

Nah. PA98 is a legit really good frame. Probably the best Babolat frame in a long time.

[POLL] Is it better to become number 1 without ever winning a slam, or to win a slam without ever being number 1?

A player can get hot for two weeks and win a major but to become number 1, they have to have at least a calendar year of going deep in tournaments and winning 250, 500, 1000 events.

babolat pure aero 98 new paint job

The masses never really liked the VS racquets. It's why Babolat went back to the drawing board on them. The PA98 is an immense improvement over the VS. PA98 took the VS from niche frame to one of the top selling tennis racquets in the world. That doesn't happen unless it's a really good frame.

babolat pure aero 98 new paint job

I certainly hope they keep the gloss finish. Can you imagine how ugly the current PA pj would look if not for the gloss? Even though the design is busy, the gloss kind of keeps it all together to the point I think it looks pretty good in your hands.

    Solinco Mach-10

So sorry. I expected a thread to be near the top half of the latest threads and didn't see anything. Low and behold it's the very top playtest lol. A couple of the reviews I watched said it was comfortable so I was going with that seeing there's not much in the way of reviews so far.

https://www.tennisnerd.net/gear/strings/string-reviews/solinco-mach-10-string/45373 I'm surprised nobody is talking about this new string. Seems like it could be a good string for multi users transitioning to poly or poly lovers with sensitive arms. Nice color too.

babolat pure aero 98 new paint job

The 2026 PA is less than a year away. I hope the paint job is a little better than the new PD which looks okay in your hand but very bland when you see it being used on court. I don't love the new Ezone pj but at least you can tell when someone is using one. The new PD just kind of fades into...

The Canadian Stampede - Shapovalov and FAA making Canadian Tennis Great Again

At 29 years old he's probably peaked and with his game revolving around court coverage it's going to be diminishing returns as he starts slowly losing a step.
