I'm not sure a few grams of static weight matter (I wouldn't be able to tell the difference either) as much as the balance... Mine were 33.0 and 33.1 unstrung, which is more head heavy than most 32-32.5 specs posted here... and now that I got used to those I'd really like to get more racquets...

Now that I think about it more, 4G soft also holds tension well. After an initial drop from 51lbs to 44lbs it stays there, with Racquet Tune giving me a stable 48lbs overall for several weeks... Thanks! Maybe I should try 4g instead of 4g soft then... 4g soft is losing tension over time for me, like I tried to describe in my original post.. If 4g keeps it's tension almost as well as the gut, then a 2lb-4lb differential makes a lot of sense indeed as 4g is so much stiffer than the gut...

That's my thinking too, so I'm trying to understand why most people use a differential, and are ok with that differential going from 2-5lbs into the 8-11 lbs after a while... Is there any benefit at all? Also how often do you restring? If like we're saying here a 0 lb differential is more...

Thanks! So when you start with a 5lbs differential how long does this play well before you have to cut and restring? With the poly losing tension you must be at a 11 or 12 lbs differential after a few days... Does that still play as well as 5 lbs?

BP 18x20 here, Babolat VS 17 x Luxilon 4G Soft 1.25 has worked great for me at 55x53, 53x51 and 51x49 lbs, eventually settled for 53x51 lbs. HTH

Hi all, I received two new shiny Blade Pro 18x20 today: specs are W 309g / B 33cm, and W 307g / B 33.1cm. I'm not measuring the SW myself cause it wouldn't be accurate. The frame feels a tiny bit boxier than the previous Blade v7. They're getting strung with the usual, Babolat VS Touch 55lbs...

Sounds good. I initially thought that the new Blade 21mm (or 20.6mm according to Wilson Web site) beam was more comparable to the H19 or Ultra Tour beam type but a comparison with a 22mm beam H22 with more power will be interesting too. Let us know when you get a chance to do your testing. Thanks!

I would love to believe that the Ultra Tour is using the H19 mold, but all the used H19 / pro-stock for sale out there seem to be 98 sq in under various paint jobs... So how can the Ultra Tour, which is 97 sq in... be from the same mold? Any thoughts?

Any thoughts on how with no Countervail and a softer flex the new Blade 18x20 compares with an Ultra Tour with added lead or a pro-stock (H19) Blade?
